I was contacted by Fresh Student back in August of 2014 to help reduce my student loan payment. I gave them all of my current loan info and my previous years tax return info. They proccessed all the numbers and said they could help me. I agreed to pay them three installment payment of $298 for the months of September, October and November. Once the payments were made I was told I would recive a new bill with a reduced payment each month. They sent me a transcript of our conversation and an agreement. After I made my last payment to Fresh Student I never heard back from them. It took me 3 weeks to get through their only phone number. Once I did they said my request for a lower payment on my loans was denied and they could not help me. So I started the refund request process. I sent in a writen request by email. Of course after another 3 weeks of not hearing back from them I called to check the status. I was told they were looking into that it can take up to 30 days. Feburary 5th was 30 days after they said they submitted my request. I called them back and they said I was approved for a full refund, I should the money back in my accout the next week. The money never showed up in my accout. I called the merchant they used for automatic refund transfers and they have no request sent from Fresh Student under my name. So now Fresh Student has lied saying they will refund my money and now they won’t even take my phone calls. The employees who can do nothing for me because they have no idea what is going on with their bosses just keep giving me the run around, because what else can they do?? It is now February 17th and I still have no refund and am no closer to resolving this issue!! Please stay far away from this company they will take your money and give you nothing in return with no feeling of remorse. .
