I am very sad to be writing this review because I have been coming to this place for a long time…but I can no longer continue my lessons here. Just like any business..this one has had its problems over the years..but when it went under new ownership several months ago, things really began to fall apart. In the last few months..I have seen over 10 teachers come and go..including 2 just last week that came in to have prominant roles and left after only two weeks! At the beginning I blamed the teachers…but after all of this..im thinking that there is something really shady going on with the business. Who they hire and fire isnt really any of my business..but when people..including myself..purchase lessons packages with a teacher for this much money (VERY expensive), to be used over the long term.. (yes, there are long term contacts) and that person is fired..I feel like I should get my money back, or at least be offered a refund or some kind of compensation..but that is not the case. They just pretend you didnt just spend $1000’s of dollars… And that is just one thing..Many students have left because of overbearing demeanor of the management, and the dishonesty that is displayed here. The parties and group classes are getting more and more empty by the day. The prices have gone up even more (I believe because of financial desperation), and the quality and level or services included for that money has gone down. I feel like this place is going to go bankrupt or something..and they are just tryng to squeeze as much money out of people as they can….so I would be very weary of spending large sums of money here. The prices have changed many times, they are always asking for more money for small things that used to be included in the fees, the place feels more empty than ever, and I just generally get the sense that I am being lied to. There is a new dance studio about to open up down the street called the Overland Park Ballroom and Social Club. I think I am going to save my money and try that place. Teah used to be the only large studio in town..and I think they will learn their lesson when a newer place opens just down the street. I know I have learned my lesson.
