Kim Marie Latterner, the 44 year old former physician assistant was sentenced jail after she was found guilty of felony against a child sexually. The sentence was floating awaiting her successful completion of supervised probation of three years. As a state of her trial, Latterner will be wearing an electronic monitor for six months after her release from the prison. She would also been registered as a sex offender for 30 years according to the orders. According to the records Latterner was a physician assistant who was working at FastMed Urgent Care in Monroe. After her arrest statement, FastMed declared that Latterner would no longer be a part of FastMed and would never come to any connection with the company.
The prosecutors dropped 11 counts of felony of statutory rape or sex offense and nine counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, as a part of Latterner’s plea agreement in the court record. According to the state statute under which the charges were filed the statutory charges involved offense a 13-, 14- or 15-year-old.
Although it had been found that she had no previous criminal charges either in North Carolina or Pennsylvania, where she formally lived. The N.C. Medical Board licensed her as a physician assistant in 2012. Latterner was ordered to stop providing medical services as a physician’s assistant on anyone who is minor in an agreement with North Carolina Medical Board.
