August 21st of this year we had to attend eviction Court after being directed by a Lawyer assigned to us by Terry Bryant not to pay our rent due to un-repaired damages by our Landlord dating back to November of 2017. The damages not only made our apartment inahitable due to large amounts of black mod build up and cabed in ceilings, but my wife was also personally injured after a section of the ceiling in our second bedroom caved in on her, causing further injury to a major surgery she was already recovering from at the time. Our lawyer himself submitted a repair request to the landlord without a reply back from the landlord, 2 months prior to the eviction notice. A week prior to the court date, the lawyer pulled out of representing us and left us to appear in court without a lawyer to properly advise and represent us.
We had a multitude of video and photo evidence that he lawyer did not even review or look over that would have aided him in Blocking the Eviction along with a counter suit for a substantial monetary reimbursement. The judge herself said that she could and would hear our side and review the evidence, but that on that particular date the only thing begin addressed is the eviction itself and we could not present out evidence to counter claim at that date and time. We were left without a subject matter expert on how to address the entire legal process and now my wife’s record holds and unwarranted eviction and we are suffering a monetary loss that was totally avoidable.
This clearly shows the lack of responsibility of Terry Bryant how they appointed as a attorney who would not come on the day of eviction and leave us all by ourselves. I would not recommend them to anyone and would warn to stay away form them as what happened to us could happen to anyone.
