The Inn at Saint Mary is a terrible hotel for staying. This isn’t the right place for anyone. The staff here is unprofessional and irresponsible.
I stayed at The Inn at Saint Mary’s which is located in South Bend, Indiana. I traveled to Indiana to spare some quality time with my family. I did a little research on some of the hotels which were cheap and affordable for a man like me. It seems like The Inn at Saint Mary’s has a marketing agency to manage their rating online. I read the reviews about them and thought it could be best to stay in, and I decided to book my reservation. On the day of arrival I was told by one of the staff members at The Inn at Saint Mary’s that your reservation had not been booked, though you can make another reservation, seems like they are trying to make money from my pocket. However, made another reservation because my family was tired after a long day of traveling especially the kids were sleepy, so I booked another room and it turned out the worst nightmare for me. Turns out this place has an awful bed where you can’t even sleep on and made me uncomfortable the whole night. The beds were shaky and so cheap that every tiny bit of movement would wake me up, and I ended up sleeping on a tilted, awful sofa instead of on a bed. The biggest problem was that there was no AC in the room so that was shocking for me also because of every other hotel nowadays with them in their rooms. The walls of the room were so thin that I could listen to the baby crying was from the next room, and that why I couldn’t sleep the whole night. The fitted sheets on the bed wouldn’t even fit on the bed anymore, coming off during the night that gave me a lot of misery and my kids couldn’t sleep all night, the shower in the bathroom was horrible as it can’t get past lukewarm, and the internet signals were so weak that it was almost unusable. At night I called the reception as we were starving, I got shocked by the reply because they said they have shut down early today as ‘the day’ was kind of slow. This wasn’t the reply I was expecting from these guys. Their services have disappointed me and I do not wish to go over there again. What I will suggest them is to make their services better because you don’t get customers like me every day who can still live with these facilities. They also have to make sure that they deliver quality services to their customers and they don’t get disappointed. They should also make sure that they should maintain a healthy relationship with their customers, help them with their problems because I don’t want others to suffer like the way I was suffered at The Inn at Saint Mary’s.
