I had the absolute worst experience at Thrifty Wheels. I hire cars on a regular basis as I have a big friend circle, this was the first time I was using Thrifty Wheels for hiring cars. The first time you will enter their office, they will address you as Sir or Ma’am, however, after you get a car from them, they won\’t give a single fuck about you. NOT EVEN A HELLO or Hi or any kind of social gesture! It is almost like you are dead to them. I was supposed to return them the car on Friday, I had a flight to Las Vegas that day but I due to a personal emergency I had to delay the travel for a week. The car was parked at the airport and I called the office of Thrifty Wheels to tell them that I will need the car for another week. The guy on the phone told me that I will have to make the full payment online if I wish to keep the car. He was horribly rude on the phone and he acted like he was doing me a favour. I wanted to keep the car because I was used to driving that one around the city and if you’re a driver yourself, then you must know how each car is different from the other when it comes to the driving experience. Anyways, as it was a bank holiday I told him that it would not be possible for me to make the payment today. I told him that I will sort this issue out the next morning and requested him to add it to my account. The very next day I got a call stating that the car I was driving has been reported STOLEN and the dude I was talking to last night did not do anything about the case. He actually reported me to the police and when I confronted the asshole he made excuses like, “I was very busy last night so I couldn’t call the main office.” So he did not have time to register the car, but he had enough time to file a fucking police report?! That’s not all! I went to the main office of Thrifty Wheels and the manager said that I was driving their car without insurance all around the town and he also implied that he did not know where the car was. He insulted me in front of a plethora of other customers. It was by far the most humiliating experience I have had in my entire life. I would strongly suggest that you avoid doing business with Thrifty Wheels. These are heartless jerks who don’t give a fuck about their customer’s well-being. They only care about money and they will do anything to get it out of you. They penalized me with 3 days of EXTRA charge on the car. Please go to any other place but Thrifty Wheels. You will not regret avoiding this place.
