Mayerthorpe, Alberta news from a fan – not – horrible gossip ring here and some high roller move-ins occurred prior to and upon our arrival to Mayerthorpe, Alberta from a nearby town, after moving to Alberta from Montana, at least temporarily. In a place where they say there are innumerable jobs, and I as a person who has never been turned away after applying to work and receiving an interview, I have never even been offered a minimum wage job in Alberta despite multiple interviews not even when placing an ad for supposedly desperately needed Nanny work as a person having about 20 years experience and having good and checkable references. Alberta people act holier-than-thou and are extrememly suspicious of outsiders and en masse seem constant victims of all kinds of gossip and will believe almost anything they hear no matter whom they hear it from. Mass low self esteem and hatred of women and especially American women is my best guess tho far be it from me to complain or gossip when deprived of a decent livlihood and having my husband trailed and taunted until appearing to be weak-willed and barely functioning. That’s what I heard about him and who am I to disregard that. No complaint here and nothing much to report except please live and work elsewhere Mayerthorpe is, at least for us, happiness poison. So said other locals who moved here from elsewhere and who survive with work hjere but won’t live in townsuch as the Director of one of the extended care facilities. The adults will even get their kids to ostracize yours never play with them, turn them away when they knock begging for friends, and miscellaneous adults you never can pin down say you are crazy if you are not on as much medication as they apparently are, judgeing from what some of their husbands confide about their wives when their wives are not present. Hopefully everyone has suddenly had a mutual epiphany and we can all learn enough from this to avoid each other better in the future or at least meet in person before acting like we have met and know anything about one another. Sometimes, I feel like blaming the internet and texting frenzy. A book on Alberta trivia states that Alberta has the highest percentage of people connected to the internet in the WORLD. Super-Gossip? How about old-fashioned Hi, how are ya, what’s your name? .
