I am a board certified psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) trained to diagnose and prescribe medication for patients with mental health issues Prior to becoming a Psychiatric APRN I was an Emergency Department RN, working in local ERs for 30+years I have worked for Bardmoor ER & Morton Plant psychiatric ER & inpatient pediatric psychiatric unit, St Petersburg General ER, & Northside Hospital & Heart Institute ER I also have experience working with Veterans and worked at Bay Pines VA ER & inpatient psychiatric unit for 5 yrs I am currently a Sexual Assault Examiner with The Suncoast Center SAVE team I specialize in issues faced by first responders, PTSD, anxiety & depression I specialize in working with people of all ages, including children & adolescents I care for people suffering from a wide range of mental health issues including, but not limited to ADD/ADHD, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Personality DisordersPsychiatric APRNs perform many of the same functions as psychiatrists, including diagnosing mental illness and prescribing medication My patients receive a 1 hour comprehensive initial evaluation & 20 minute follow ups I am a solo provider and my office is private, professional and relaxing Please do no hesitate to call if you have any questions
