I said back in a defeated tone of voice ok ill just give the clients one hour to be late sarcastic enough to get it threw to her that I have a business to run ! and she said said calm down its just eyebrows, very rude! I have been doing eyebrows for five years I am a certified esthetician and I do not appreciate her unethical and rude attitude towards me. I work hard and I am great at what I do that is why I was hired and why my clientel love me and continue to rebook with me every three weeks.. she is making me feel isolated unwanted and I do not want to lose my job over this drama and i was wondering if she doesn”t stop after this will I be able to be rehired in the future at an Ulta if I do decide to put in my two weeks

I was not told that i would receive subsequent issues nor was i asked if i would be interested. Upon checking my bank account, there was a deduction for a subscription for Instyle magazine. The only way that they would have received my bank account information was by my debit card transaction. Isn”t this against the law? I am beyond angry and am hoping that Instyle is familiar enough with this that they will refund my money. I see posts online about the same exact scam from 2008. Looks like they are back at it. This is the same thing that happened to me on 10/12/10. I did not request this magazine. How did they get my debit pin number??? I am furious about this! A week ago, my friend (who doesnt shop at ulta or sephora) bought a Perricone MD product for my birthday and stupidly (ill admit) didn”t request a receipt or a gift receipt. (employee) told me I couldn”t exchange it because she didn”t know if I had purchased it there and I had another return with a receipt, she accepted that one but not the other one and told me “Sorry! After dying my hair brown instead of the blonde I requested, they refused to correct their mistake and insisted on charging the full amount for the work performed. They threatened to call security and have me detained as a shoplifter if I didn’t pay the full amount. Now I’ve got brown hair and no idea how to get my own blonde back. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t try to make the situation better. I would think they’d want to keep my business. Even if that weren’t their goal, on a human level I would have thought the workers would have been kinder to me. I suppose Ulta doesn’t guarantee its services. After saving up hundreds of points to be redeemed I was told that I could come back anytime in June to receive 5$ off my next purchase. I go in and somehow I only have 81 points, the woman said they changed the point system and I bought the item I wanted anyways. I still wanted an explanation and my cashier asked the cashier next to him. He was so rude, he kept cutting me off and saying they divided my points by 4 in the new system and kept pointing at some magazine. He kept raising his voice and interrupting me. I just wanted to know why I was told I could get 5$ off and then all of the sudden I don”t have enough points to get any money off. He sighed and rolled his eyes because my question was still not answered. I was so frustrated that I left the store. I can”t imagine being so rude to a customer with an actual question. As of last night i placed an order and my macbook changed the address on me itself, which i understand is my fault. Immediately when i got the confirmation order i saw the wrong address and attempted to call but the customer service was closed. As of this morning i called and first, i want to complain about the fact that i DID NOT use my ulta account to order and on the phone was forced to give out my information. What if i wouldn’t have had an account? would i just not be given any information and second, the email that was on that account wasn’t even my email but the man continued to say i had to give him the right email to confirm that to me is so sketchy, i had to give my email first and last name and address to get any help. When transferred to cancel my order, the women was rude and when i asked what my options were she said call usps to change my shipping address. I do not understand how i have no options through them as i just placed this order less than 12 hours ago and spent quite a few hundred on a gift for my mother. i will never use ulta again. at least 2 hours of calls and up to 5-6 calls ended with the products being shipped out to an address that expired 6 years ago. after calling within 10 minutes and being told the shipping department would be sent a message to cancel-nothing was done and an order for just under $225 is going to an address not associated with me. By far the worst Ulta I”ve ever been to. I was half heartedly greeted by the staff who had nothing else to do since it”s 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. I had to approach an employee who seemed to not want anything to do with me since they all went out of their way to avoid making eye contact with me. I informed her that I was looking for makeup to cover my tattoo and stated I needed to do a color swatch. She walked me over to a particular brand and proceeded to show me the darkest shades they had. She didn”t even inquire where my tattoo was nor did she even pay attention to my actual skin tone. The shades shown were 5 shades darker than my actual skin tone. How does one assume I need the blackest shade available? I informed and displayed to her my forearm which is fairly light. She picked up a shade and squeezed it on my arm. I had to blend it myself. I wasn”t given an explanation on how to use it or anything. I said “this may be the shade”, before I could even finish or figure out what I truly needed, she picked up the box so I could purchase it and walk away. After I continued to blend by myself, I discerned the shade she showed me was incorrect. I had to clean off the makeup to try another shade on my own. I looked for another employee, most of them avoided eye contact with me. All I needed at the point was some tissue to clean my arm off. I proceeded to swatch my own arm for about 20 minutes. During that time I observed other female consumers who came in after me, and look nothing like me, receive outstanding service, from color swatching to alternative brand options. I guess I wasn”t good enough to receive the same service. I assume restocking the already filled counters was more of a priority. You would think that people who choose to work in a cosmetics store would JUMP at the opportunity to assist consumers with their cosmetic needs. I know I did when I worked as a makeup artist for a highly reputable brand. Maybe my red locs, brown skin and forearm tattoo was off putting, I”m not sure why my experience was worse than the other shoppers inside at the time but what I do know is Ulta will not receive any business from me. I will also post this to all of my social media accounts so others who look similar to me know that they will more than likely be treated the same way.

Came into store late one night, about an hour before they closed. A young lady with dyed red hair and tattoos on her chest was working. I asked her for help, and after trying several things such as lip color and lip liners, her attitude with me grew stronger. She was incredibly rude because of the fact that I did not like the, in my opinion, obnoxious colors she had chosen. When I moved to the other side of the store and chose certain things to buy, she rang me up with an even more rude attitude. Her comment to me was “is this going to be ALL you are buying?” and when I said yes, her response was “Well, your total tonight only comes up to 10.45” Not only is her appearance in the store unprofessional, but her attitude is a turn off as well. I strongly suggest you approach her about this situation if not terminate her. Due to the fact that I did not want to purchase what she had chosen she was extremely rude to me, and had it not been for the tall blond girl that had long hair, I would have chosen to not return to your store.

Date of the incident: Had 4-5 appointments between September and October 2015. I went in, to a stylist I had been seeing for over 2 years, and showed a picture of silver hair that I wanted. After the stylist attempted three time to dye by brown hair to silver (and charged each time even though the silver did not take), the stylist said we would have to bleach my hair. In a span of one month, she bleached my hair 4-5 times. The last visit, she bleached it and then colored it and it came out bright blue. She then dried my hair and used a hot curling iron. I left the salon with my hair crumbling off and broken off all over my head. My hair is completely destroyed and at no point was it close to what I wanted. Not only that, but she never admitted that my hair was fried and never offered a refund or tried to repair my hair in any way. I spent over $1, 000 for my hair to be ruined. I had to pay a different salon to begin repairing treatments and also had to cut off over 6 inches off of my hair because it was so badly damaged.

Disappointed to learn Ulta Beauty Salon hire people that offend and belittle their customer base. I am not sure if her views are shared within the corporate organization but her opinion was not solicited by me and reflect poorly on Ulta. Perhaps you should encourage your employees, as other companies do that when they put themselves in the public eye and promote a business, they should keep in mind they also represent that business. It sad that Ulta allows those that support them to be treated do badly by their employees.

Each time I go into Ulta, the manager at Ulta on Louisiana Ave. in Lafayette, Louisiana is a RUDE and unfriendly woman!! It”s like I DREAD going inside every time I walk in and see her face. She doesn”t leave you alone for anything and I can”t even concentrate on what I am there for because she is always in your comfort zone. When I go to check out or to be waited on, she is has the ugliest attitude of all the staff. First, I was scheduled with another stylist whom didn”t come to work as she was ill. The salon never called to inform me of this. I went for a simple haircut and highlights. Lucero was rude from the start. She briefly pointed to a chair and then told be just go sit and she would be there in a minute. Not everyone is naturally friendly, so that wasn”t a huge issue for me. Halfway through the highlighting process, she informed me that she was only going to use one color (I wanted dimensional/2 color highlights). She applied the bleach (not color mixture, I was informed they use bleach for highlights and tone it). She then left the foil unwrapped and the hair exposed. Why? So she could talk to her boyfriend. The boyfriend then decided to keep her company, sitting across from me in an open stylists” chair. She ignored me and interrupted me several times when I tried to ask about the glazing (since she made the decision not to do dimensional highlights). The interruption was so that she could talk to the boyfriend about getting the car washed. She poked me near the eye with her comb, didn”t even say sorry. She ended up rinsing half of the hair in freezing water despite my request for her to warm the water temp, leaving the rest to finish. She place me under the dryer for a supposed 10 minutes. She was the only stylist there and I was the last client of the day. She disappeared. I sent my husband to look for her. Him and the store mgr found her in her boyfriends car. My hair ended up being over processed and scalp burnt from her negligence. The manager did take care of the situation. I do appreciate that . But, Lucero leaving could have ended with my hair being burnt and falling out of my scalp. I had scalp burns as it was.

For the 2nd time in less than one month, i’ve had a bad experience with ulta. Both of my complaints involve the lack of stock of advertised items. The first disappointment came when I went in on a tuesday evening after the sunday sales ad came out. Several advertised items were already out of stock. I was told a truck should be in on friday, I should return then to see if any of the items came in… Well guess what??? It happened to me again this week. I went in on monday morning 8am (Holiday hrs) to purchase a few things that were advertised. I was successful with one item, the other 2 item’s were completely sold out. When I asked the associate if the 2 item’s were sold out, she said “i’m sorry, yes they are, but we will be getting a truck in on wednesday. Good afternoon. First let me start by saying that this is something I never do, I always want to see the good in people and look for the good everywhere I go. But this has been going on for a while and I feel you need to know whats going on in your stores. I went into the bakersfield, ca store yesterday and had an issue. First let me say that I have been a loyal ulta shopper for a while now and this last year have dreaded going into the store in bakersfield due to the snobby sales team. I am never helped and when I approach someone for help they act like it”s an inconvenience. Yesterday 3/31/19 was the worst experience I have had. I received 2 emails in march to come and redeem my birthday gift. The email said it was the whole month of march that I was able to do this. The fine print said the birthday reward expired 3/31/19. When I went to check out that day 3/31/19 I informed the cashier, jolynn that I wanted to redeem my birthday gift. She said I needed the email. I attempted to find the email on my phone and in the meantime showed her my id. She then told me I could only redeem my birthday gift in the week of my birthday. I asked her which email address the email would be coming from and she said ulta. (ulta sends me emails from several email addresses). As I am looking the woman next to me checking out also tries to redeem her birthday gift, her cashier asks my cashier why wont the bar-code for the gift come up and my cashier tells her that she is to late, her birthday week has expired. She again told me I was only able to redeem my birthday gift in the week of my birthday, which is 3/19 and that the email was sent to me on my birthday (which it was not). She was not trying to help us in any way. She was completely rude and snobby. I was embarrassed beyond belief, as this conversation was held in the front of the store by all the customers in line and other employees. She did nothing to help me or the other lady. She rushed me along and I asked for her name and she told me jolynn and that she was the co-manager. Wow! I would think the co-manager knows the guidelines of the birthday gift reward and would especially be the person to try and help you! Not give you false information and shew you away. On top of that, I did not receive my 2x birthday rewards. I love the make-up and variety at ulta. But the employees have me hating to step foot in there. I don”t know if I will return or not, but I thought someone should know how horrible the customer service is in the bakersfield, ca store.

Good morning, I booked an appointment online with my local Ulta Salon (30263). My appointment was for 3 pm on Saturday, December 30th, 2017. I received confirmation via email of my appointment time and the name of the stylist (Boston). Upon arrival, I stood at the salon counter for five minutes or so before the stylist on duty acknowledged me. When she addressed me, she asked if my appointment was made online? I replied, yes! She said the stylist was gone for the day. I was also told that someone phoned me and that was not true. I arrived on time, and was made to sit and wait while a stylist was located for me. There were two stylist at the store, and neither offered services to me. I eventually called another salon in the area and left the store. Before I walked away, I spoke with the store manager, and told her about my experience. She said that this had happened before, and that she would call me when she got to the bottom of my issue. I told the store manager that it appeared to me that the stylists had an ethnicity issue and I did not feel welcome at all! The manager offered 20% off a salon service but I told her that the website is already offering 20% and that did not seem to be a gesture of goodwill.in closing, I will not shop or inquire about services at any Ulta again! Had appt for hair color for $75. After arriving I asked the lady if she could just “dust” the ends on the length only. Nothing else cut. I figured I”d have to pay for a trim. When I left I was charged $45 for a dusting. She never told me I”d have to pay for a full haircut. If I”d known that, I wouldn”t have had her do it. It took all of 3 min to do it…for $45. When I asked the mgr, she just shook her shoulders and said oh well, there”s nothing I can do. She didn”t even TRY to make the customer happy. Here are the reasons why Ulta is a ridiculous, obnoxious store: 1.) Terrible management. On one occasion I purchased a $35 Tarte eyeshadow trio, and requested at the desk to receive my “free gift” as advertised on the large sign above the Tarte display. First they didn’t want to believe me, didn’t want to come from behind the counter to actually look at the sign I was pointing to, and when they did, were quick to tell me rudely “you didn’t notice the part that says While Supplies Last, did you? People come in here right away and these free gifts go fast.” They then tried to give me some crappy free sample from a cardboard box behind the counter and I declined. 2) while I apparently am not very important to you, Miss 20-year old manager (who needs a makeover herself), it was made obvious that the silly girl with a carry-on dog (a la Paris Hilton) was worth impressing. She bought hairspray. I purchased $125 in Benefit cosmetics. 3) The coupons they repeatedly offer both by mailer and email are crap. you can’t use them on ANYTHING worth having. There are trillions of exclusions, including giving the store the right to limit the coupon themselves. Interesting.

Here is a letter I just sent to ulta detailing my visits to their establishment. To whom this may concern; I am writing to make a complaint on the plain lack of customer service in your stores. Since ulta opened in memphis, I have only been there a half dozen times. The first time I visited was the only time i”ve been greeted by an employee. I suppose that”s because it was shortly after ulta opened so they had not had a chance to get lazy. The rest of my 5 visits, i”ve not been greeted at all. I”ve asked for help 2 times – both times, the employee wasn”t very professional. The first time, I asked for help choosing complimentary eye shadow colors. The employee – I think her name was kay (I”d know her if I saw her)- acted like she really didn”t want to help and half assed suggested something. After about 5 minutes, she made an excuse that she had to go let someone in the back & she said that she would be back to help afterwards. I continued to peruse the eyeshadows, trying to make a decision. A few minutes go by and the employee walks by without a glance my way. The least she could have done is asked if I still needed help but no – it was more important for her to carry on a conversation with another employee. My second interaction with an employee was just as disappointing. A couple weeks ago, I stopped by ulta to try the bare minerals line of makeup. I asked an employee if I could try them myself. She had me sit down so that she could do it. Well, near the end of it, someone told her she had a phone call at which point she stopped what she was doing and wouldn”t have told me what kit I could buy that she was using the contents of had I not asked her. Needless to say, she rushed off to the phone call. When I next saw her again, I asked her about a certain product line which she had no clue about. With that said, my other complaint has to do with employees not asking customers if they need help – don”t you know that when the customer knows that the employees are aware that they”re there, it reduces the chances of shoplifting? Anyone working in retail knows that. Not only do the employees neglect to greet the customers or offer help, they all seem preoccupied applying makeup or in conversations with other employees. Instead of wasting their time bs”ing around, they should wander around the store and get to know the product lines, where things are located etc so that they can at least earn what you pay them. On my last visit to ulta, I was ready to purchase something, but there were no cahiers up front. When I turned around, there were no employees within my line of vision and I did not feel that I should have to go hunt for one, so I put the product down and left empty handed. I”m not sure what ulta teaches it”s employees in training, but perhaps you should think about refresher courses every so often, or perhaps mystery/quality shoppers. I really wouldn”t be surprised that the reason ulta is never busy when I go in is for the lack of service. I have been to sephora as many times as I have ulta and I am always greeted promptly, then I am offered help. Sephora is always busy no matter when I go in. Do you even care about customer loyalty? I have sent an email about the lack of customer service once before and never got a response. I think i”ve said everything I want to right now. Here”s the perfect example of a company who could care less about their customers. I was told by one of the managers at this location that I should store my rain check for Matrix/Biolage hair care products in a safe place because they fade, but never expire…I went into the store to use my rain check and the manager on duty implied that I was lying about the product I was trying to buy using the rain check. She indicates to me that in her 7 years with Ulta she never saw the liters of Matrix/Biolage shampoos & conditioners sell for $9.99. Mind you, the rain chech was slightly faded (printed on receipt paper) but legible. It clearly stated the products and the sale price. She then called the CS number for ULTA and a REALLY rude CS representative flat out told me they would not honor it because it was expired…She also asked me if I expected them to honor an old rain check? I proceeded to ask her for a Corporate Address and she simply hung up on me. I don”t expect anything in the world, EVER, except respect and a company to stand behind and honor what their in-store employees, “managers” tell their customers…Since this incident I have sent a letter to ULTA”s Corporate Office in Romeoville, Illinois using signature confirmation & priority mail and have never heard from anyone…I have been shopping at ULTA for over 6 years now and will have to find a different place for my beauty products. It is obvious that all of their customers are treated as “one more” customer and they don”t care if we leave… I hope that one day they pay the price for this awful customer service and lack of loyalty to their long-term customers…This is why there is so much wrong with the officers sitting in corporate office in America…

Hi about a little more then a month ago my daughter went to get her bangs cut. She went to Ulta store #1164, To begin with, she arrived early for her appointment so that she would be on time for her session. After still waiting a half hour after her appointment, my daughter”s boyfriend went inquire why they were still waiting and the hairdresser Sam (whom my daughters appointment was made with) made a comment to another employee saying it”s ok they were here early anyways. Before my daughters boyfriend could respond, Hilda another hairdresser said she would take care of her and cut her hair. Hilda then just grabbed her bangs twisted and cut them. She styled her bangs and charged her $14 for an awfully done hair cut. We hadn”t said anything then to give the hairdresser the benefit of the doubt and tried to just style them the best we could . I took her to another hairdresser today to fix the problem and she showed us and explaied to us how badly cut the bangs were and how we should of never been charged for such a horrible job done. I feel that it was a bad start with the waiting and the comment the hairdresser made and my daughter should just walked out. It”s a big ripoff that you have employees that don”t care about their customers and just their wallets. As you can see in the first picture her bangs are uneven and the second is where you can see how horribly cut they are.

Hi I went for haircut service at ulta jonesboro since I was new to this place and was not aware of good places around the area. I had a decent hair cut from morgan who was respectful enough and catered to my request. What put me off was the lady named ashley at the cashier. She was extremely arrogant right from the time I waited to make payment. First of all she did not even acknowledge my presence while I was waiting and she just went to the cashier counter pretending not to care if I was waiting or not. I waited not knowing if she was ready to attend to me. But after a while I realized she is not gonna communicate and that I should show myself to the counter. Then she asked if I had loyalty program and when I answered no, she started asking all my details for loyalty program without even asking if I wanted to join. Then she just hands me the loyalty card at which point I was so frustrated. I wasn”t aware she was asking my details for loyalty program. I was already regretting coming to this place. And then when it came to payment, a normal approach would be to ask if I want to tip and if yes, how much. But instead she asks “how much tip would you be paying”. Obviously I had got a decent hair cut service and was happy and would put down a good tip. But when you arrogantly ask “how much tip would you pay” without even asking if I want to put down a tip or that if I had got what I was looking for, this is such extremely unprofessional behavior that I would probably not even expect from a third grade local stores who wouldn”t know a thing about customer service.in fact I have never had such an experience even from small local stores. But a store like ulta which has global foot steps and claim to have a brand image, I was hoping that you would have your employers trained on some basic obvious skills on how to not be rude, arrogant, and be professional in the way they communicate with customers. I intended to do some shopping after my hair cut but I was so off put by her attitude that I decided not to get anything ever from ulta jonesboro. I don”t get that how ulta can hire people without these basic skills that don”t even require any training (it is just common sense) to handle a branded store. Hi there, I recently shopped at Ulta that is located at 15 Mystic view Rd, Everett, MA 02149 and I felt really uncomfortable. I”ve shopped at this location multiple times and have always felt unwelcome. I spend a good amount of money on different items at this place, and on July 22, 2017 I went to purchase a dry shampoo and a face mask. When I got there management and employees said hi, however, when I picked up the origins face mask I was being WATCHED like if I was going to steal this item. I felt so uncomfortable – I also bought dry shampoo. My friend that was with me mentioned that when I was walking to the register the manager kept eye balling me to see if I still had the products in my hands. I”m never going back there again… the feeling of being seen as a criminal was sickening. This will cause major issues – I”ve talked to a couple of friends and they actually had the same issue at this exact store. I am Cosmetologist, Cosmetology-Educator and salon manager. been hand’s-on for 25 years. I enjoyed working at Ulta (5/2015 to 4/2016), and I was one of the favorite to store management, with so many regular satisfied clients. Me and 6 more stylist left Ulta because of very little schedule hrs. Anyways, I applied for a part time stylist position last month, and after interview, I was sent for technical interview at Arlington heights location. The Technical Trainer/interviewer Failed me… Whattttt!!! that’s was I asked when the salon manager informed me. She had NO specified answer, and I know why?? Because of my Race & Religion!! While myself, I am an Educator in this field, hands-on for 25 years, worked for Ulta as hairstylist & makeup artist. At Interview, the Trainer and everyone there was praising my work. My model was very happy with her highlights, color, haircut & style Please consider my complaint, because Ulta is an equal opportunity employer. I am a frequent customer of Ulta, I have spent hundreds of dollars there and have always respected the store. I made a purchase at Ulta on 9/10. I did not realize until the next morning when I looked in my bag to use my products that I had two items I had purchased missing, a mascara and a concealer. The following evening I went to Ulta with a receipt and told them I had not received all of my items, they had suggested that it had fallen out in my car which I had also thought and had already looked. The manager then claimed that she looked back on the tape and all of my items were placed in the bag and I had looked to check. Incinuating that I was trying to scam $10 of product from them. I was then told I would have to repurchase my items. It is absoutely ridiculousl that I am a loyal customer who was missing items was accused of trying to scam product out of the company and told to purchase new ones. It is also extremely poor customer service for a manager to pretend to look at a tape just to justify their reasoning because they don”t want to be wrong. I will NOT be returning to this store.

I am literally copying and pasting a portion of my email.. Minus my personal info… I have had 3 accounts with ulta now due to fraud and people stealing my info.. I will keep reaching and posting this everywhere I can due to all the multiple issues I have had over the years… I have spent thousands of dollars with ulta and this is the grief they have given me. Email pasted below I have talked to atleast 10 people in the past week about all the issues I have been having and keep getting different information. Basically my account has been compromised for the second time now. I do not know what else to do. The first time all my points were stolen in store.. Not sure how that was okay since my name is apple and she was supposed to show id for the high point amount according to your policy. Then my issue now is that my points were used as well as my credit card which was stolen online… My ulta credit card only able to be used ulta. Every agent has not helped me… About $2000 was used on my ulta cc and $1000 credit was increased by this fraud after multiple orders that didn’t go through was tried then an order over $900 was successfully put through then the increase was approved then another order of over $900 was approved again. The first agent I spoke with didnt tell me about the 2nd order placed fraudulently on my account and told me… Well you get all your money back and you get the points for an order you didn’t place so I mean its okay you get to keep all the points that were put through (which by the way should have been well over 3000 points with the amount of money they used on my cc and the extra points from bonus points). Are u kidding me ???! So now I have to worry about my identity and deal with my credit score and my account and was told today that I need to build up my account again before receiving my same status when I was with you all for 5 years and now it shows I was with you for a day bc someone stole my info. You all have the worst cust service. I am posting this everywhere I can so everyone knows what can happen to your personal info. Now my account was closed I had to call ups and speak with special fraud agents to get the orders sent back to ulta bc ulta kept fulfilling both orders. So good job to me for making sure they got their product back.. I have gotten nothing in return for all the issues and days hours I have been dealing with this.. When I talked to yet another agent today who told me oh well its a new account and now you have to build your account again to a certain status to get all of your promotions and status back and you dont get the points from those orders. Retrack to when the first agent said I would get those points from the girl who stole my cc and used all my money but my money would be returned and I keep the points Ulta is the worst.. Has no safety guard for their customers information and doesnt give a crap about their customers… This is the short version of what I have dealt with… The most help I got was from the rep at ups that worked in the fraud dept Ulta is getting their products back and could care less about what has happened to me multiple times… Do not get their rewards accnt and esp their credit card bc they wont do anything to protect your identity.

I am new to the makeup world as well as California. I have only been to Ulta a few times, each time a pleasant and informative experience with Israel. Today she wasn”t there and Andrea asked if I needed any help. She was from the east coast, she knew about the products, she knew what I was looking for and tips to help me with my makeup problems. I”ve always felt comfortable getting help in the store when it is available. I was looking forward to buying a whole new makeup and skincare routine until today. I felt as though I was being watched, and that I was not a value to the store. Not only did this manager walk between us during our conversation I”m assuming to hear what we were talking about. I overheard her say that if I wasn”t spending any money then Andrea needed to get away from me and help someone else. This was not only rude but disappointing to know this is how employees are treated. I understand if we had been talking for a while, which was not the case I wouldn”t want to take up too much of her time. I left after this I didn”t feel comfortable and refuse to spend my money somewhere that I am not welcomed. The store wasn”t busy when I came in after work. I have never been treated this way, and never expected to be treated this way in what became one of my new favorite stores. I will no longer shop at the Pinole store because of this.

I do not care to hear about her husbands affair or her daughters problems, which by the way also works for Ulta in the same store. My friends daughter was involved with her son and she is a good girl and she sits in the salon and talks about her to anyone who will listen. I am supposed to receive coupons in the mail for free items according to home much I spend. I spent $600 last Christmas holiday and never received the coupons. So I emailed customer service and I got a form response saying that I”d get a response within 48 hours. Two weeks later I sent another email and got a similar promise and no response. It”s been months. I”ve forbidden my 2 teenage daughters from shopping there so I guess their conduct will cost them. Hope this does too. Their prices aren”t really any better when they have a sale than your local drugstore anyway.

I am very irate with ulta salon!!! I was being responsible and called the ulta salon (3215 louisiana ave # 104, lafayette, la, 70501) At 12:18 pm today and spoke with catina who was actually the one scheduled to do my hair and makeup. I told her I was traveling from baton rouge and would be late for my scheduled time. I asked catina to cancel the appointment due to me knowing I was going to be late and she specifically told me that it was ok and to just head this way when I can. I was shocked and confirmed again that I would be late and she said that is fine. My appointment was scheduled for 1.5 hours. So I arrive at the salon for 3:30 pm, thinking everything is still good to go but it wasn”t! Catina had started on another client. Then catina tells me that someone can take me in about 45 minutes with a smirk on her face!! I told her I couldn”t do that because it was going to make me late for the event I was going to this evening. Catina told me she was so sorry and there is a jc penney salon up the road I could try?!?!?! Are you kidding me?? My salon visit totaled $106, that”s not including tax or tip. My next issue/question was how did catina have another appointment there that she had been working on that person”s hair knowing I had her booked for 1.5 hours and she told me it was ok if I was late?? This was totally ridiculous. Catina needs to be written up and sent back to a customer service training because she has no clue. I have never been treated this poorly at an ulta salon/store and I spend a lot of money at these stores. I will never step foot in this store again and it”s a shame because the person ringing up my purchases, cassandra, was totally fabulous! I am very unhappy with the overall services and lack of availability of merchandise provided by these stores. I have visited the deptford nj location at 3 times in last 2 months and each time I went to the store it was always in lacking merchandise. This has always been the case whenever I went there and their prices suck! I wanted to purchase a curling above from a revlon or conair product (Which they carry as well) and was unable to do so because of the lack availability of mid – priced curling irons. I can get a revelon or conair product anywhere. Now these mid price products the carry obviously sell the most so I do not why the store would not have them stocked accordingly. The store never has a their large display of opi nail polish full. I recently purchased a hair brush for $11.00 and was very disappointed in the quality for the money I paid. I now can not return it and get at least a store credit because of their awlful return policy. I can not believe with all the revenue these stores generate, I could not get a store without out my receipt. I had the tag still on the merchandise which could have been scanned to get the current price & know I purchased it from ulta. Now I have a crappy product from this store I do not want and they get to keep my money. Any store out there give store credits and honors their products. I will never shop there again.

I am writing in reference to an encounter that I experienced with Ultas General Manager yesterday, June 20. I visited the Las Colinas location (Irving, Texas). I was going to shop for perfume. I walked in and was approached by Cindy (who I later learned was the general manager), and another young lady. I let her know that I didn”t need any assistance and I continued shopping. I noticed that she remained on the same aisle as me even though that is not where she was when I initially approached. I shrugged it off and continued to browse. I walked to the next aisle and sure enough Cindy and the young lady that she was with followed me to the aisle. Their conversation was the same, apparently the girl was a trainee and Cindy kept repeating information about displays (nothing new from the previous perfume aisle). I became very irritated and decided that before I jumped to conclusions I would walk to a third aisle in the Mens cologne section. There would be no reason for them to follow me there and it would prove that I was overreacting. Sure enough, not even a minute later Cindy and the other girl came to the exact aisle that I was on… having the same conversation. At this point I was furious. I felt very hurt and violated. As a Woman of Color I could not help but feel the discrimination. The store was somewhat busy and there was a White woman shopping nearby who Cindy seemed to not notice at all. I immediately let a Sales Associate know and I also let Cindy know that her actions were very hurtful as well as offensive. I will never shop at Ulta again. I will not give my money to a place that doesn”t respect me as a person and makes me feel the way that I felt that day. Cindy is a sick woman and I am saddened that she is the choice that you have made as a General Manager. This behavior from her can”t be new so it lends to the belief that Ulta has not only supported it, but has rewarded it in the form of a promotion. I am very disappointed.

I arrived Sunday about 5:30pm I picked up some shampoo and conditioner. After that I wanted some hand creme for severely dry hands, the products were moved since my last visit there and all I could find was Hemp. Which I did get two small bottles of but I wanted a product that I had gotten there before. Well a Woman asked if she could help me and so I explained as much as I could but did not know the brand she became increasingly irritable with me. They were closing at 6 and it was five minutes to. Eventually I just said forget it she was rushing me out sating”I can”t help you if you don”t know the name of it” she pretty much pushed me up to the register and the girl ringing me up opened the door and sent me out. It was a horrible feeling I won”t be back.

I been going to ulta for 6 yrs plus for my hair. Recently I had to go to freehold mallory cut my hair and highlighted it was to be blonde but was orange in the lights in store could not see issue. Then I had a apt with someone in clifton ended up on that day find out the girl quit first I hear been trying to reach you to let you know lie no call was made not til 1/2 hour before apt which I was in store only message was verifying if I was coming not that the girl left (4 weeks ago) the part them trying to call me day before was a lie I ended up in a argument with husband over a lie. Then cause mallory screwed up my hair for a special occation mighti add when I had it done friday wasn”t compensated for the disaster. The best is the store manager came and talked to me instead of listening kept looking at her watch. Respect needs to be given to customers. Btw got hair corrected so far looks good but will it hold up Gave 30.00 tip not my usual but delt with this problem for a couple of months and wasn”t going to go to a another salon to fix someone else”s problem Freehold and clifton I really hope the manager was listening to me.

I booked a makeup appointment two – three days before my husbands military ball. I didn”t feel like doing my own makeup, but I wish I had. First I was a little early to my appointment which was scheduled at 11:30am, I showed up at 11:05am. I walked in and had never been to Ulta before so I look to an employee and say “Good Morning, I have a makeup appointment, where do I need to go?” She looks right at me, and keeps walking. I instantly got upset, how rude can one be! Finally I walk to the back of the store where I see a sign that says book appointments/salon etc. they tell me I”m early, and the person who I”m scheduled with isn”t ready yet; I completely understand, I go to the Starbucks to get a drink while I wait. I sat there until my almost appointed time, and headed back in, where I waited another 35 minutes before my makeup got started. My WHOLE appointment, employees were walking up telling the individual doing my makeup, she has another appointment booked DURING my appointment, and she has this… following my appointment; dragging her all around the store. She had to leave me 3-4 times during my appointment, rushed through my makeup, and didn”t even feel confident in the services she was providing for me. So how am I suppose to be comfortable with her doing my makeup, A. if she”s rushing, B. Keeps saying she”s sorry, this is prob the worst face of makeup she”s ever done, C. Doing other services for people during my appointment. I asked to see a manager when I finished after 4 hours! I did not leave the store until 3pm, my appointment was at 11:30am. So, I wait for a manager at the register, when she gets there she automatically had an attitude. “What”s the problem” I explain to her that I do not like my makeup and I”ve been here well over my appointed time, I do not feel comfortable paying for these services. She passes me off to a “salon manager” and asks me to go back to the salon. So I do. I get back there and I stand there for about 20 minutes before I finally realize the time, I don”t have time to wait, our ball is an hour and 20 minutes away from home and I still hadn”t gotten dressed, or done my hair. I go back to the front and explain to her I don”t have time to wait, this was the manager by the way, and she says ok? I just pay for the services and leave pissed off. I will never go to this Ulta again in my life. My makeup was not worth the money I spent or my time. I”m so disappointed

I bought several items from Ulta and when I received my order one item was missing. Customer service rep said it was no longer in stock and that they were in contact with manufacturer. They said they were not able to refund me and promised I’ll get the missing item soon and they also promised me a discount on my next order. That was way too good to be true. Missing item never arrived and I can’t actually say anything about the discount offer. I’m afraid to order from this site and will never do that. Please don’t order anything!

I called 20 minutes before leaving my home to check to see if they had a product that I needed in store. The worker responded that they did. I arrived to ulta at 8:55pm and the doors were locked. I knocked on the door and the employees just looked back at me and ignored me, there were other workers that were hiding in the back that seen us as well. I called the store to notify them that I was the one who called earlier about a product and also to inform them that they closed 5 minutes early. The manager came out and let us in. The mananger notified us with an attitude that they were closing down there registers and that we needed to get what we were getting and go. I got my products and they told me that there was a limit to 2 products only. Prior to coming to ulta in Manteca I went to ulta in Tracy and there was no limit. I dont know if the policies are different for each store but I was told that with an attitude. As I was checking out, my purchase wasn”t going through. The workers kept saying that there card machines weren”t working. I don”t carry cash on me for safety reasons and the manager notified me that I could only pay in cash. They closed 5 minutes early and they wouldn”t open up another register for me to pay. The manager also told me that I should check my bank to see if I have funds. Luckily I found cash and was able to make my purchase. All of the ulta employees had bad customer service and I do not appreciate the way I was treated.

I called ahead to the salon in Bluffton SC. Tanger outlet Location. Spoke with John about whether they participated?in Locks of Love program. He said yes and I asked if appointment was needed and he said appointment was not necessary. I asked if today was a good day to walk in and he said yes. 45 minutes later, we went there after I had my daughter wash her hair and brought gallon size zip lock bag ( per John”s instructions). I informed associate at counter what we were there for. She said nothing available until 2pm with Jessica. I said that was fine ( understandable as we walked in). She took all information and then tells me it would be a charge of $42. I then reiterated that it was for donation. I told her that this was my daughter”s 3rd time doing it at Ulta and there”s never been a charge. She then asked Jessica if she would do it and the response was that she”had a makeup” appointment at that time. Associate at counter then said she would do it but she didn”t have availability until 5pm. I asked her if it was free of charge and she replied “yes”. She then scheduled?us at 5. I asked her what her name was and she said she was Carol the salon manager. At around 4:30 pm Carol calls to inform me that there would be charge for the cut AND WE WOULD BE GIVEN ENVELOPE TO PUT HAIR IN. SO DISAPPOINTED!!! CAROL THE MANAGER WENT BACK ON HER WORD!!! I WOULD HAVE PAID IF I WAS INFORMED INITIALLY OF THEIR POLICY. WHAT”S EVEN WORSE IS WHEN I TOLD CAROL THAT THE STAFF SHOULD HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THEIR INFORMATION, SHE TELLS? ME THAT THE STAFF IS NEW, INCLUDING STORE MANAGER. THAT SURE TELLS ME A LOT THAT ALL STAFFING IS NEW UNLESS SHE LIED ABOUT THAT! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM A “SUPPOSED” SALON MANAGER! I came in for first time and had hair color done for $105.00, by salon manager Courtney. When I came in the second time I was charged $235 for cut and color. I disputed charge for multiple reasons. I was not told ahead of time the cost was $235 for cut and color. The first time was only $105, so the price should have been more with the cut, but not $110. I don’t have fancy hair, its medium length and not difficult hair. I called the next day and asked for the store manager and was told that the salon is trying to keep up with other main stream salons. I told her this was a lot morethan other salons. I had been paying $135 at a competitor and was happy to find Courtney who only charged $105. I was in shock this is Ulta, not a fancy stylist or salon. (sorry) When I called Courtney and inquired from her she said that the store raised it prices with the new year. You have lost me as a customer. I request a refund of $130. I come into ulta all the time and purchase whatever I want. Lately, i”ve been feeling like I was being followed throughout the store. Today I went there to purchase one specific thing, but they were all sold out so I decided to browse around. I came across the new kardashian makeup and I picked one up with the intent to purchase it before I left the store. I went up to the cashier and asked her how much it was, she told me, so I decided to browse around more before I decided to buy it. I got a call about a family emergency and I put the item down to rush out the door so I could leave. The manager, or associate, or whoever she was rushed towards me, demanded that I open my purse, went through my personal property, and asked me where I put the item that I previously had. I showed her where I put it, and she snatched it out of my hand. Then she told me we”ve got you on camera and you”ve stolen a lot of stuff from us. I have never in my life stolen anything, let alone anything from ulta. I have every receipt for every item i”ve ever purchased. I”m an ulta rewards member too! So I feel like they can even look up everything i”ve ever purchased. Being the only african american in the store, I was humiliated and upset. The way she handled the situation was totally inappropriate and I felt extremely violated. I have put in a complaint with the store but I don”t expect much to be done about this unfortunately. I won”t be shopping at that specific location, i”m just done with the company as a whole.

I decided to go with Ulta for my wedding needs. First, I wanted my hair colored and highlighted. My only explicit request was medium brown hair– NOT BLACK. Well. Black is what the idiot dyed it. She was later scrubbing my hair raw with this product they call a Malibu trying to fix her ### up. The main stylist/colorist said she was “unable to” color my hair a light to medium brown without red in it. My hair is naturally dark, but not black, so I don”t know what her problem was–I”ve had it dyed that color many times. My hair was later colored by another salon and was in very poor condition due to that idiot”s handy work. Next, I kept asking for a professional make up artist, which they claimed they had. I did a “practice” run with a girl that appeared 16 and seemed to know nothing about makeup and then they tried to charge me for it. I ended up getting my makeup done by the stylist (who isn”t a makeup artist, just a general beautician) although I”d been promised a professional–I could have done it myself for that kind of money. Finally the coup de gras. I had wanted both my veils on top of my head–next thing I know, the idiot has placed the 2nd Cathedral veil at the nape of my neck where it doesn”t open up after having done my hair already and I was running late. No time to change it up. I was livid. Now every time I look back on my wedding pictures I cringe at how much I hate how she placed my 2nd veil. I HATE my pictures.I look like some parrot with a towel draped at my neck. It looked like ###. I was so busy and stressed that day and running late I had no time to change it around.
