I had visited a relative in Downey. This city was amazing, and the people were very friendly as opposed to where I come from. I spent time familiarizing myself with the city since this was my first time to visit. Over the weekend, I decided to tour the city and try out one of their joints. I was alone, so I decided to look for top-rated joints in Downey, and this is how I came to learn about Uncle Henrys Deli. This joint had a perfect image online and positive customer reviews. In addition to this, the ”about us” section was well written and provided proof that the joint was licensed. I noted in my phone was ready to grab a sand switch or whatever they had to offer.
Once I arrived at the joint, things seemed a bit odd. There was no one to welcome me and show me a table. This was odd, as I didn’t expect this from a top-rated joint. I found a found at settled, and it took almost 30 minutes before someone came to pick my order. This was a complete waste of time since I had other things to do. The waiter was not very helpful when I asked her what they had to offer. She simply told me to take the menu and order anything that is within my budget. This was rude.
I picked an item on the menu and requested it to be served as soon as possible. To my surprise, my request fell on deaf ears as the waiter kept serving other customers. After another 30 minutes, my order was processed. I asked why it took so long, but she did not answer me. This felt wrong, and so I decided I would make a complaint to the manager before leaving. I enjoyed my sand witch despite the loud music. The music was irritating, and a few people from the bar section drinking beers kept making a lot of noise. This was pathetic, but I didn’t have a choice. I finished my sand witch and decided to head to the bathroom before taking to the manager to raise a complaint.
The waiter followed me to the bathroom, which made me uncomfortable. I assumed she assumed I was trying to leave, which was not the case. The bathrooms were awful and crowded. The waiter demanded I should pay at once before making seeing the manager. I paid and headed to the manager’s office. The man seemed cool, but as I was making the complaint, he kept making calling as if, in my case, didn’t matter. This was disappointing, but I let it go. I left Uncle Henrys Deli never to return. Visit Uncle Henrys Deli at your risk! You will leave disappointed and annoyed
