Ken Behr is the owner and lead saleman that closed an eBay deal with me on a 2012 VW Passat TDI SEL. The write-up on eBay was far from correct regarding the vehicle, condition, damages and missing parts worth hundreds of dollars. The dealership is located in FL and I’m in Houston. Ken and I both discussed the condition of the car, perfect, no damage and would sell it to family member. After I requested the Carfax he stated the vehicle was in a small accident and the repair are not noticeable and also perfect. When I asked if there was anything else outstanding he said no, the car is perfect in everyway. Price seemed fair and I took his word for it. Ken failed to inform me he drove the vehicle some 800 miles right up to the 40k miles service that will cost over $700.00 by the dealership. The car arrived by transport that set me back $525.00 and I immediatley noted the damage to 3 of 4 rims. After reviewing the vehicle after I had it washed, noted a huge dent is the passenger side and large deep paint scratches on the hood of the car. The eBay ad stated all keys were available and that was not true. The second or replacement drivers key will cost $300 w/programing and the valet key is $60 this was confirmed at the dealer.Replacing or refurbishing the rims will cost $500.00 by a local supplier. After driving the vehicle I also noted the front tires were cupped so I took it into Houston’s premiere VW dealership. The road noise at highway speed is deafening. The VW dealer and Discount Tire stated all 4 tires were cupped and it would cost over $900 to replace them as the same tires currently on the vehicle. The paint damage is estimated at $1000. In total the US Auto did not disclose over $2,665.00 in missing or damage. They offered me $275 that I rejected. He called me an extortionist and that is when negociations broke down. He was playing so the time would elapse on eBay to leave feedback. From what I found out, this used car dealer prefer to sell their vehicles to out of state buyers that they try to buy off with peanuts when they discover undisclosed damages to their newly purchased vehicles. Ken and US Auto (listed in eBay and Autotrader) are dishonest, fraudulant and will do anything to sell the vehicle. As I have stated here is the truth. These people are your typical used car con men.
