[protected] placed a pick up order. Asked when would be a good time for a late order not to be to much trouble was told 11 pm I went ahead and put in my order for pick up at 9 pm. I placed my order and asked for the total I was put on hold for 10 minutes and got disconnected I called back 3 times and no answer. I went to Village Inn there were no customers so no excuse for no answer. I said I was there to pick up my order I placed 30 minutes ago the manager Wes told me it was not submitted yet and walked off. I was trying to be nice to place an early order and they threw it back in my face to disrespectful I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB unless this can be fixed so unprofessional!!!

09/28/2016-Took my elderly father to this restaurant, after his Dr.”s appt. Upon entering the restaurant, the woman that had on a manager name tag, that was acting as a hostess, her name was Rhonda! When we took a few steps into this restaurant, my fathers legs became weak, I told her his legs were going out on him, and her reply was “Just a moment I”m talking with someone” I wondered to myself, did it not matter to her if someone fell in the restaurant?? The restaurant was slow as it could be, possibly maybe 15 other customers in the whole restaurant. It was “Free Pie Wednesday”…what my father got was a piece of slop, that barely had any filling, and it was slowly falling while we watched it. Looked like something left over from the day before. My brother joined us, for his free piece of pie, and a vanilla milkshake, and was not given the extra milkshake in the blender container, as he was given at the Pensacola Village inn 2 weeks prior. When we checked out, I told Rhonda we would not be back. She had no care what so ever for elderly patrons, and major attitude. I believe another manager dropped in…a young man, he heard my complaint, said nothing, like it did not matter if they had customers or not. My brother had to ask for a tea refill for me. Poor, poor customer service. So, since it didn”t matter to them if we came back or not…we wont be back!!! Now I see why the restaurant had little to no business. Especially, giving free pie away and still no customers???? Get a clue somebody! For real.

2-3-19 / First we waited our turn to be seated and three people came ten minutes after us and we seated the moment they walked in with out waiting. Second with all due respect to our waitress (I believe her name is Shawnee) she took our order and we specifically ordered our hash browns a certain way (extra cripsy/burnt), it took nearly 35-40 minutes for our order (they were not crowded) when another server came with our food it was wrong, the hash browns were hardly cooked, almost raw, and when we told the server to take it back because the order was wrong, she got mad with an attitude and yelled for the waitress to come over here and take care of it! and threw the food on the tray and took it back to the kitchen, which I had a clear view of and threw down the tray and yelled at the waitress again. The waitress came to us and apologized, she told us she told the “cook” to put the hash browns on 5 minutes before the rest of the food so it would be cooked right! she also said that what they tell the “cooks” gets lost in translation and so I”m guessing that the “cooks” do not fully understand English, some how… that seems pretty Important to understand what your are told to cook when you are cooking for customers!! And she told them not to take the food out to us because it was not cooked right, but the server did not listen to her or care! Also when she brought our food back out to us it was cold! We could tell all the “cook” did was put some scraps of burnt hash browns that were probably going to be thrown out on our plates and the rest of our food sat on the plate getting cold (our food came back to us in less than 2 min so it was not re cooked) instead of our order being re cooked like it should have been. We will never go back to that Village Inn ever again!! Not sure what I would like you to do for being treated so rudely by that server and the “cook” In regards to the people that were seated before us, we feel like we were discriminated by this restaurant, the person that sat them was Spanish, the server that brought our food and was rude to us was Spanish, I guess this is what everyone that is not Spanish is and has been dealing with and now it has happened to us, unfortunately for you it happened in your restaurant! Please understand like many other families we too have Spanish people in our family so this not about us hating Spanish people, this is about being treated with respect and kindness, just like anyone would want! I hope this doesn”t happen to anyone else. As a disabled person, its dfficult for me to get out and a about…it”s a treat to dine out with a friend but I had that chance yesterday and we went to Village Inn here in Colorado Springs, CO. When I paid for me bill using my debit card, I wrote a note on the receipt that the TIP was a “cash tip” and wrote a slash (zero) amt. in the tip portion of my bill. Instead, they charged me not only the $10.83 for my meal but also $10.83 for the tip as well. My bill came to 21.66…DOUBLE what it should have been. When I got home, I noticed the next morning that they double charged me and called them. The manager wanted me to “come in” so he could fix it. Hmmmm…why would I have to come in, dragging in my oxygen tank and cane …this is a hardship for me. They did appologize over the phone. Okay…that”s nice but if I were the manager, I would surely offer a piece of pie or cup of coffee or something gratis for the considerable trouble I have to go through. Next time, I”ll just call my bank and dispute the charges and let the bureauacracy work it out instead of me. Seems like Village Inn just says, “Oh, sorry “bout that…” and that”s pretty much it…People don”t give a hoot what trouble they put you through.

As our day started today November 23 my family and I were having a wonderful morning and we decided to go to village inn that”s located 17030 N Scottsdale Rd, AZ 85255, we got seated and everything was going good when they attended us as they took our orders and once we received it we didn”t get a silverware so we can eat our food and my son got up and asked one of the managers for some silverware and the manager told my son that why didn”t we eat our food with our fingers and so then my son did not know what to do so he just stood their and then went to someone else for some silverwares and brought them back to our table . this was very disrespectful on his part and ruined our morning to enjoy our food.

At the Roy Utah location there were a group of them smoking pot. They came inside smelling of weed and sprayed themselfs down with some perfume which went across the whole resturant. Then maddie was talking very loudly of another server feeling suicidal saying that shes faking it for attention. We were sitting across from another table and maddie apologized for not getting over to them faster because she had to “deal with a past co worker wanting to [censored] for stupid reasons” saying it loud enough for a few other tables to hear and turn some heads. I want to see maddie get fired, or better yet just shut down that whole location. If they are smoking weed outside and talking badly of other co workers and past co workers. No one will want to come to this location.

At the village inn off of Austin bluffs we received our food with hair in it. They remade the meal of course but did not offer any sort of discount off the meal even though by the time we got the corrected meal our family was finished eating. Ate at Village Inn yesterday evening and ordered a chicken pot pie. It was my first and last pot pie that I will ever get from them. I had severe diarrhea only 2 hours after eating it, then throughout the night I was vomiting. I paid $9 to puke and miss work. I have never gotten this sick from a restaurant before and although the service we received was great, the food made me regret our decision of having family dinner at that establishment.

But I am only complaining about a particular store as I don”t know that any other store does this, but my friends and I sometimes go to the free pie night, we are social people and don”t always have time to get together and here of late not much at all, we are working opposite schedules and we made plans to meet at a different Village Inn than usual because it was close to my home, close her my friends job and my other friend didn”t have to work the next day so it didn”t matter to him how far he had to drive, cause it was causing me to get to bed too late, but we were meeting at the Village inn in Tulsa, OK at 2745 S Harvard Ave. and it was getting late, we had all eaten, we were only meeting for the pie. My friend was not having anything but water, she is broken, Bren…and I were just going to have pie, but I was kind of sick to my stomach, so I ordered Ice cream and asked for my pie in a to go box, and Bren ordered pie and Ice cream, which we have done before without an issue, which it does say with ANY purchase on all the printed materials…even online, but I think it was the manager who came to the table and told us that policy had changed and we could no longer do that without ordering something like a drink. So we just cancelled our order completely. While sitting there drinking our waters…and visiting…we called the other village inn…they had not heard of any policy change. Darcey is a waitress at village inn Ogden 12th street. She is the most demeaning, disrespectful and rude person I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been waiting tables for many years and she is the most hateful biggest bully I’ve worked with ever! My manager apparently adores her and never sees any flaw in her actions. I know many employees who have quit because of her. She excludes other employees after she breaks them down and then acts like she knows nothing about her behaviors! She is insufferable! I can deal with a lot and have thick skin but she has become unbearable! She belittles everyone and has her sons that work there with her to do her side work and seat her twice as much as other servers. She is hateful and rude and aggressive and threatening to other servers. Everyone is scared to confront her in a proper way because she acts one way in front of management and another way with employees. She make this place a hostile work environment and I cannot deal with her hateful attitude. She says she runs this place because she has been there for 20 years. I don’t know why everyone allows her to do this to her fellow coworkers.

Date of incident: 02/02/19 Time: About 10 AM Went to VI with my granddaughter for breakfast and my name was put on the list. Was told there would be about a 10 minute wait which was OK with me. After about 20 minutes and watching parties who came in after we did get seated, I checked the list and my name was crossed off as being seated. We were waiting inside and my name was not called. I pointed it out to the hostess. I did not get the name of the hostess or the manager. I left before I said anything embarrassing. Suggest training or retraining of personnel responsible for seating customers when store is busy as it was today. My favorite server, Barb, works at this store and I would hate not going back to this store because of this preventable incident. Date of incident: 12.16.18 time: 5:30p – 6:30p. Upon arrival to papillion, nebraska village inn, located on 72nd/giles road. The hostess at the time of seating, informed my husband and I “it was buy one breakfast get one free”. Upon checking out, when the manager said our bill was $21, I questioned the buy one get one free. He became very defensive asked for a coupon. Informing him we did not have a coupon because we were not aware of this as the hostess mentioned the buy one get one free. He became angry and raised his voice and said “who told you this”, we said “it was mentioned to us at the time of seating”. Again he yelled “who told you this”? This is unacceptable behavior on this managers part. Does it matter who told us this? He had our ticket with the waitress name. Did it matter? It was after the fact. He was not only unprofessional, but accusatory and discriminatory to not only me and my husband, but to his employees. He attempted to try and use a coupon, but at that point I wanted no favors from him. I paid my entire bill without the promotion. He said “I already rang it up”. He was very argumentative, defensive and accusatory towards us. I will never step foot in another village inn again!! I sure as hell hope he did not pocket the extra $12 as I paid with cash and did not wait for my change, nor did I see him put the entire bill amount in the computer. Don”t eat at the Village inn in South Des Monies IA. The dishes aren”t clean. The food comes to you cold. The sever forgot our drinks. She went to get them but never came back with them. The side order of broccoli was brown. Also when she comes out with our food she informs us that they was out of dinner rolls. And said they had to make more. (Right) We tried to eat the food. During our visit to Village Inn in St George Utah number 70075 7 we entered the restaurant and after waiting what we thought was an extended amount of time we”re finally visited by our server, Violet. She took our order and I specifically asked her that we wanted it on two separate tickets. After a considerable amount of time and to apologies from Violet about the length of time it was taking to get our order to our table we finally received some of our order. I had requested a side of country gravy and had to remind her that the pancakes that came with my order has not arrived yet either. We were never visited by our server and asked if we needed any additional drinks or water. I had to ask one of the servers who was taking care of other guests if she would see what was going on with our order and bring us some more drinks. I asked to speak to the manager and after I spoke with him he asked me what I thought they could do to make things better. The question should have been, “lett me do this to help make things better for you tonight”. Another observation . During our time at the restaurant we noticed the manager out on the floor occasionally but saw him only go to one table to check and see how they were being taken care of . He came by our table but never ask how our service was or our meal . After we had left the building and this was about 8:30 p.m. in the evening I noticed that the signs nor any of the perimeter lighting at the business were on. I went back in again and talked with the manager and ask if he knew that the lights were not on outside. The business looked like it was closed. After the type of service we received we felt like it was closed. I have been to numerous Village Inns all over Utah and other places and it”s by far is the worst service I have ever received. First, the customer support number ending in 2121 does not work unless you have someone’s extension only. Went to Village Inn on Sherman in Thornton and ordered a ham and cheese omelet. They took an egg omelet and folded it over 6 little chucks of ham and then put a 3″ x 3″ piece of cheese, smaller than a velveta square, over the top and called this a ham and cheese omelet. Spoke to the manager, Keith, when I paid the bill and his reply was “it is what it is” and still charged me the $12 for the omelet! Never going back to a VIllage Inn again. Am also going on to every social media site and reporting this so others don’t get ripped off.

Good afternoon, my name is Shannon and I am a recent employee of the Village Inn in Virginia Beach. I am about to quit because I found, and took a picture of a “log book” laying out on a desk, talking about all the horrible things fellow employees are doing during the day. The picture attached is what they wrote about me, but there are worse things about other employees in there. From what this looks like, this was supposed to be for managers, but was left out in the open for everyone to see. I do not feel this is professional for a family friendly business and do not feel comfortable as an employee knowing this exists no matter what intention it has. Also, part of my findings is lots of talk of heavy drug use among the server/hostess and cooking staff, not only “marijuana”, but “shrooms” and “cocaine” also. I accidently walk into what looks like a Drug deal that happen in the employee bathroom area and have overheard conversations of “meetings” at the back of the location and drinking on the job, not just by servers and cooks, but by management also. The management hasn”t put me on the schedule since learning I had a picture of the log book, but they haven”t also told me that I”ve lost my job. I don”t know what to do in this situation and would like advice.. please help?

My problem is that all the restaurants in flagstaff expect the employees to do two man jobs for very little amount of money. I worked at the Grand Canyon and I was the top dishwasher and cook. You could keep good people if you would change that pronto. Hello, My name is Jordan Shepard. I worked at Village Inn at East Mexico Ave in Denver, CO. I worked there briefly because of how completely terrible my experience there was. After I finally received my paycard, I started getting harassment from the Management there, more specifically Patricia the store manager. She refused to take my calls, and when she did she was rude and raising her voice, and even hanging up the phone. I had to call several times and she stopped taking my calls. I had to have my boyfriend try to call and get simple information on how to activate my card, asking for corporate information and phone number and the store number. I was given NO information on how to activate my card and eventually was told yesterday about the Dayforce login. I tried every single possible login and nothing worked. Now my account is locked and I am beyond desperate just to receive my payday. Unfortunately it was too late for me to purchase gifts for the holidays and NO ONE could answer the phone to answer my desperate pleas for help. I am still left without any answers and I am very angry and upset with the disrespect and unprofessionalism from this store. I won”t mention all the other issues with this store at this time including money stealing, management and employees spreading rumors about my personal, mental health, spreading lies about employees including myself, taking advantage of new employees, ignoring schedule requests, mishandling personal information, food stealing, ignoring customers, and refusing to answer phones. I was there less than a month and saw FIVE MANAGERS come and go. I”m very concerned about how poorly customers are treated here daily and I wish someone to please check it out. Patricia is the worst type of boss with absolutely no hint of professionalism. I”m very disappointed with my experience at Village Inn and I am very desperate for someone to just please help me. I am 51 years old and only work a VI obviously not for the money but enjoy preparing food. I also understand there is an ethical and moral responsibility that goes with it. This store I work at is out of control. Fresh and Daily have different meanings . One been Corp. and the other our gen mngr. If cream pies become dated we scrape the old cream off and re top w/ new whip cream and fruit pies roll over and over till they can be sold on pie rush weds. I am sitting here right now in a village inn. I asked for tomato juice, “we discontinued that item”. I ask for cottage cheese, “we discontinued that item”… whoever is making these decisions obviously puts a priority in how much money they won”t make instead of providing healthy selections… because those are the things selected for discontinuance… additionally your prices are slowly but surely inching upwards. I am very upset with the recent change of menu at our local Village Inns. Basically there are no longer any low calorie or healthy choice items on your menu. The simple turkey sandwich has been removed. Many of the low calorie or healthy choice items have been removed from the VIB menu such as: egg whites, egg white omelette with part-skim mozzarella cheese, low cholesterol substitute omelette with part-skim mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, cottage cheese, low fat vanilla yogurt. My husband and I have visited our local Village Inn several times a weeks for many years. We were there so much our children made fun of us. I always choose a low calorie option such as the ones I have mentioned. Now I have a hard time choosing anything I want to eat there and this makes both myself and my husband upset and sad. Why on Earth would you remove so many healthy choice items at the same time raising the prices when more and more people are trying to eat healthier?

I consider myself to be pretty level- headed and not quick to jump the gun, however the Village Inn on Ken- Caryl and c470 has horrible service and I swear some, not all, of the staff are crack heads. This is the third occasion where my order has been royally messed up to the point where they brought me the completely wrong meal altogether. Furthermore, never has a waitress offered my compensation in the form of a refund for totally messing up my order and having me wait close to twenty minutes extra while my company eats their meal. Additionally, the waitress seemed to feel like some if this was my fault and her attitude complimented that feeling. I”m not going to lie, I come here quite often and can”t help but notice the behavior of the evening staff. Frequent trips to the bathroom and sporadic behavior and conversation has lead me and others to believe a few if the staff are definitely on something. All In all, I don”t usually do this but I believe in good service, and I hold myself to the same standards. Some of the staff here are unprofessional and rude and I don”t recommend this location. I certainly know that the is my last visit

I don”t understand why it cost so much to build your our omlet and be healthy. If I were to get a veg omlet, pancakes and fruit it cost less them just a 3 veg omlet. You are why America is so unhealthy. I would think you would be better them then that. It really disgust me. You could make it an even playground. My husband would like you to hear the syrup. I frequent the Altoona, Iowa restaurant but today I noticed the dishes weren”t exactly clean. About the time I was noticing this I heard from the kitchen area, “We”re outta soap again, second time in a week.” I haven”t worked at a restaurant since being a teen, but isn”t the management”s job to order supplies? I”m over 50 and that”s the way it use to be, along with my now type work.

I had Bariatric Sleeve Surgery, which means I have a 3 oz stomach. The Dr provided me with a card asking restaurants to honor the card. I have never had a problem with any restaurants since my surgery until today. I was in Zephyrhills, FL and they would not honor the card. There is absolutely NO reason for me to have an adult meal when I can”t eat it. The waitress tried to argue with me and I told her I WAS NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH HER! So we left

I have been to Village Inn many times on Wednesday for free pie Wednesday. I always order the French Silk pie and I”ve never had any problems. One lady did tell me that it”s not really on their free pie list but gave it to me any way. This evening I took my daughter with me, and once again we ordered French Silk. I was informed that it was not on the list, but I told her that”s what I wanted so she brought it. I thought that was the end of it, but at the register I got charged for my pie and my daughter”s. I asked about it, seeing as how it was free pie Wednesday and the manager rather rudely informed me that it was only certain pies which were free. I explained, nicely, that there was nothing on the sign suggesting only certain kinds of pies, nor did it say that certain restrictions apply. He told me that if they offered all pies free then he would have 18 pies and leftovers the next day. I fail to see how this is my problem. You say Free Pie Wednesday, but when people come in, and after they eat, they”re informed that it”s only certain kinds when no where does it specify this. He then walked away from me, as other customers came up behind me and he took their ticket at another register, to leave someone else to check me out. This is incredibly unprofessional; he told me to take it up with Corporate. So I am. This is clearly false advertising, which is illegal. It”s not about the pie, it”s about the principal of the thing, and to be rudely blown off like that was very upsetting, not to mention embarrassing, as he said this to me in front of other customers, and in front of my daughter. Needless to say, I will NOT be back. You just lost a very loyal customer.

I have seen over the past few years a decline in Village Inn Customer service and food quality, in the late 70s a friend turned me on to Eggs Benedict and the only place that made it good was Village Inn it was one of their signature dishes. A new restaurant opened up in Altoona so we went there at first the service and food was good but in the last year it has gone down hill. Six months ago I ordered Eggs Benedict and I told the server make sure the eggs are poached soft the way they”re supposed to be but when they arrived they were hard as rocks so I sent them back again saying that the eggs needed to be soft but when they came back the eggs weren”t poached they were fried and hard again. I”m not the shy or timid type and I was starting to get heated so I sent them back again pointing out that this is supposed to be a VI signature dish and gave the server instructions on how the dish was to be served but when it came back for a third time the eggs were poached but again hard as rocks. I told him that I had no intentions of paying for their mistake and ordered a hamburger instead. Fast-forward to tonight the day before Thanksgiving the only reason we went back was to pick up a pie (which they were out of) but no matter I thought I would give VI one last try thinking that maybe the chefs had been changed, nope no such luck the eggs were again hard as rocks even after I explained to the waitress to poach them soft, I sent them back and they returned in the same condition poached hard as a rock. This is the last time I will eat at The Village Inn, I demanded and received the charge for the dish be taken off of our check.

I just had a very nice breakfast at your 16775 Washington St Thornton, CO 80023 location and while checking out the manager on the floor was telling thr staff that arm tattoos make people look very unprofessional. I found this very offensive as im sure the customers behind me did too as they were tattooed as well. I am very professional in my career and dont appreciate the insinuation. I just went in to order a to go order and had 2 coupons. For buy one entree get one free and miss jessica said she could not honor either of the coupons. I asked her why and she said it wasn’t her problem. She was a complete [censored] to us. She is supposed to be representing her company. She then proceeded to tell us as we were leaving that we couldnt afford to eat there. Really. We just are staying at the motel next door and were hungry. I am appalled at her behavior.

I never felt welcome in this restaurant by the own MANAGER and when closing came she stated “Are you going to pay so i can get my staff out of here?” No hey im sorry we are closed would you mind? NOTHING even walking in the door she sat us all down and said ” we are closing so it could take a while. And the food was old that she served us that i paid for. I want something done. We used to love coming here because the staff was lovely apparently the manager was the worst one out of everyone in the entire restaurant

I purchased a piece of pecan pie it was only a half of a whole one and it looked like someone had scraped off the other half I am very disappointed in that and I feel that paying $ 3.99 plus tax was a rip off to me. The service was very lousy my husband and I walked into the restaurant waited for 5 min to be seated then waited for server to come over and take our order the server forgot my salad my husbands got on dressing for his salad no honey or lemon for my tea though I order it when I finally my meal it was not complete forgot cranberry sauce, no butter for biscuit’s called the server back at least 5 times to get things including a fork, salads dressing and others, My trips to your restaurant’s will be very limited I don’t feel that I was treated very well for the money that I paid and feel like I was cheated out of my pie Thank you for reading this email Linda Edwards

I used to work at the Village Inn in Craig, CO. I was being sexually harassed by the new kitchen manager. I told my general manager and showed him the texts. My district manager was also aware and nothing really got done about it. I am not the only female employee there that this has happened to. I have proof though. My husband called him and confronted him about the texts and he stopped after that but then he was being rude to me. The way things are run there are two sided and favoritism plays a big factor. The rumors are outrageous. Any other businesses I know he would have been fired but since they paid a lot of money to get the new kitchen manager transferred it just got swept under the rug. A lot of really good people have left because of the new management. It”s sad because it”s a small town and word has already gotten around about the Village Inn here. I hope maybe corporate will look into this and realize how damaging the current management is there.
