Benning/Columbus area. This summer black mold grew in my apartment in Whisperwood and I went through the steps to get it properly remediated. Despite failing to properly remediate the mold issue and my attempt in accordance with the Lease Contract, the management of Whisperwood refused to let me terminate my lease and instead charged me a lot of money to terminate the lease – stating that I had terminated it early. They came after me for thousands of dollars. I’m pretty sure they did this because they knew they could get away with it – the cost for me to hire an attorney to go after them would far outweigh whatever I might get in return. Here is my entire story. Please help spread the word and warn newcomers to Columbus about what Whisperwood does! A lot of people new to the area seem to go straight to Whisperwood and they need to know the truth!
