[protected]: Woman Within USED to be a good company, selling plus-size quality, attractive clothing at reasonable prices. Over the past 8-10 years, however, they keep sinking to new lows, such as losing the quality of their items and inundating me with their endless catalogs, even though I have repeatedly asked to be “unsubscribed.” I’m still fighting that this very day. I have stopped purchasing anything from this store because invariably, the items don’t fit, are cheaply made, and/or the quality of the material is almost see-through. One thing I think most plus-sized women would agree upon is that they’d like material coverage when ordering clothing. Most of WW’s clothing is imported, but the country of origin is never stated. I have returned so many clothing pieces over the years because I am adamant about purchasing products made in the USA. Almost all ads in their catalog state “Imported.” On the last shipment I returned, on the return sheet where they ask reason for return, I wrote in some free space that I would prefer to purchase products MADE IN THE USA. In the most recent catalog (received 09/01/2012), I did notice that in all their wisdom, honesty, and integrity, Woman Within has now REMOVED the word “IMPORTED” from their clothing descriptions and has given absolutely no information regarding the manufacturers’ countries of origin. That action makes me angrier than I have been with them; now it’s anyone’s guess as to the imported items’ countries of origin. I hope this reaches the right people regarding the complaints and all customers who may not have been aware. I think it should be a regulation/law that product manufacturers must state their country of origin – not just “Imported.” We have every right to know where our money is being sent. BUYER BEWARE!!

Back in December I made my first order with WomanWithin and received my stuff in reasonable time. I was very happy about my purchase, because everything fit perfectly and quality was really good. In mid January I decided to order something again. Since my first order was a success, I never expected anything bad to happen. So, in mid January I made my second order. I had ordered my regular size, but what I received was extremely tight! So I contacted their customer service and asked for a replacement. They asked me to send everything back and told that I”ll be getting my items in two weeks. I sent everything back and even paid some extra for shipping, and guess what, I never received anything! It is now March and still nothing! So disappointed!

BEWARE — this site is a rip off !!! I ordered five items from them in April. The items did not fit and when I returned them, I was charged a $6.50 fee plus they did not refund the cost of the shipping — a total of $15.49 — for NOTHING!!! Then I noticed that there were charges on my credit card during the months of May and June ($12 each time). WomanWithin had given my credit card information to “Shopper Discount” and they were charging me a monthly fee!! Fortunately, I caught it and I have gotten them to refund the charges, but now I wonder who else they gave my information to!! After all that, I found three of the items at a local store and the prices were at least 20% cheaper than the prices online!

Completely incompetent company. They stopped accepting online payments, even though I received emails telling me that a payment was made. I’ve called and called and finally closed the account. THREE WEEKS later they were still harassing me for payment and the online information showed that not ONE payment was credited to my account. Customer service is terrible. I order capris in june. I chose the specific colors because the online site said they were available in my size. After submitting the order I get an email confirmation and it states that the capris are on back-order… Due to be received 7/22, then a week ago, I get a “new” expected delivery of 8/8, then this weekend yet another notice for 8/19…2 full months after I ordered them and a month after your initial expected delivery. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of shoddy customer care. It’s obvious that you have absolutely no idea how to manage inventory. I have never had to wait this long for a product, ever, with the exception of a customized and personalized gift that I knew was going to take time so I ordered it in advance. I ordered capris in june in order to have them for a trip that starts this weekend. And what good are capris at the end of summer? I was so happy when I found that the jeans and capris fit me properly. I am willing to pay more to have that fit. But I am not willing to wait for excessive and undetermined delivery times. When I called customer service no one can explain what the problem seems to be.in addition, they can’t tell me who can answer that question… All they can do is offer a 10% discount. They have lost a customer after this and that I will warn everyone I know and I will place reviews everywhere I can find that tells people of the experience I have had with your company.in this day and age, there is no excuse to not have better control over your inventory. They used my card number without my permission and I only noticed the charge posted to my debit card account 3 days AFTER the item I never ordered in different color was mailed to me. DO NOT BUY. THIS IS A REAL COWBOY OUTFIT. This company has really got a nerve! I ordered a pair of black cycle shorts, they sent a PINK TOP! They said they hadn’t received my return although it was sent back immediately with their own return label. When I called customer service they sent my call to their ” service” extension, I held for 5 mins and they then cut me off. There return policy states to give it a few weeks (I forget how many) to receive a refund…but of course they had no problem taking my money… immediately! To add insult to injury I cannot remove myself from their despised email bombardments and will have to drop that particular email address. For several days, I have been trying to place an order with Woman Within, using a gift card for part of the purchase and PayPal for the balance. Each time I received a message that the PayPal payment option was unavailable. This happened again today (05/17/17), so I called to see why I was receiving this message. After talking to two people, I was told that you cannot use the gift card along with PayPal and I would either have to use only PayPal, or use the gift card with a major credit card. Having had my credit card information stolen previous, where Woman Within was one of the possibilities for the theft of information, I am not anxious to experience that again and is why I use PayPal. I find this policy absolutely bogus and should not have to choose between using the gift card or using PayPal. Since I have had problems with Woman Within previously, including over zealous marketing, I have decided I want all my information removed from the mailing list for Woman Within and all other associated companies. Have been a woman within customer for well over thirty (30) years now and their customer service is non-existent and it has not improved only gotten worse. On 11/12/2019 placed an online web site order [protected] totaling $243.40 however there was an issue regarding the shipping address so I cancelled this order and called customer service at 1 800 677 0216 to make sure this order was cancelled and would not process further-glad I didn”t hold my breath?! I also placed two replacement online web site orders, order [protected] totaling $169.30 and order [protected] totaling $200.55 on 11/12/2019. Checking the web site all three orders were reflected and in processing even the cancelled order-Why?! On 11/13/2019 all three orders still reflected on the web site in process, yes, the cancelled order as well?! I sent numerous e-mails to customer service on the web site but to no avail?! On 11/14/2019 received a call from woman within and when I checked the web site-No Order History was shown-Why?! I called into customer service once again an spoke with Yvette and a supervisor Benjamin at 10:36 AM EDT earlier today 11/14/2019 asking where were my two valid pending orders and this is the bulls – -t I got-the email address on the account was Wrong-Why?! When this account was set up I input it correctly and it was saved off when I accessed it to fill in the user ID and password and that was correct so who in the HELL changed the e-mail address?! Have been customer for approximately 10 years. Clothing has declined in quality, both fabric and workmanship are poor. Recently sent gift to daughter, who returned outfit due to poor quality and fit. Woman within credited my account for the outfit and I was sent a bill for original S&H ($7.99) as well as additional return fee ($7.50) by company and additional charge of $2.00 by woman within credit division. It ended up costing me $17.49 for NOTHING. I have cancelled my credit card with Woman Within and have tried (unsuccessfully!) to cancel the endless wave of catalogs. The customer service ladies were all very polite but were unable to do more than validate my dismay.

I only opened 1 package and decided to return them. I received the package back a week later stating that I was 3 days late in returning them. I don’t buy that. I bought a shirt from Woman Within and it was dirty. There was big stain and when I contacted their customer service they refused to help. I even took pictures but they said that these pictures mean nothing to them. They literally said that there was no way I could prove that this dirt was already there when I received my shirt. I called my order in on 11-07-10. They had problem with my credit card at first, but she told me it finally went thru to processing. I told her if she had a problem with it to call the next day and I would give her another card no. I grew up with catalog shopping, but I have had the worst luck with this company in the past couple of years & especially of late.. Sizing can be inconsistant and I find I have about a 50/50 chance that what I order will actually fit. This would be merely an inconvenience if it weren’t for the shipping and return charges. Recently I ordered some items & half of them had to be returned due to sizing issues. I have now had around $40.00 charged to my account in shipping & return fees for the items that I DO NOT HAVE. I might as well have lit a match to the $40.00. The result would have been the same…nothing to show for it, but I would have had less aggravation. I understand that it costs money to ship items. But when theres only a 50% chance that what you order will fit, I feel like the only way they are making money is by charging you extra for the “priviledge” of being inconvenienced & disappointed. I had items in my shopping cart but noticed there would be an upcoming sale of 50% off instead of the 30% at the beginning of the week and 40% on Black Friday. Since I was shopping for the same items, I knew the prices. When the price increased from 30% to 40% I noticed the final price was still the same. In addition, when the sale increased to 50% off, the final price was the same. What had changed was the original price. They increase it to adjust for the percentage off so the final price point never changes. It is very misleading to the public.

I had ordered 8 shirts. Two didn”t fit and I didn”t like them so I returned them. The other 6 I liked but were too small so I returned them with the other two and wanted an exchange for a larger size on the 6 shirts. I filled out the exchange form, used the prepaid label which was a charge of $7.50. I shipped everything via USPS as Woman Within requested on August 27, 2015. I never heard back about my return. I made about 4 or 5 phone calls to customer service only to be told to call back another time as they had no answer for me. On Oct. 2, 2015 I called again and customer service told me they refunded me for all 8 shirts and never got my request for exchange on 6 of the eight shirts. So I”m not getting an exchange and if I want them, I was told I had to reorder them. I checked with my credit card company and on Sept. 15, 2015 I got a refund from Woman Within. However, minus tax and my original shipping charge of $13.99, my total merchandise order was $105.92. Minus the return charge of $7.50, I should be getting a refund of $98.42. Instead, they refunded me only $67.67! They cheated me out of $30.75! So long story short, I never got the shirts in the right size and they ripped me off for $30.75 because they didn”t refund me the proper amount. Calling customer service to fix this is useless. I had ordered six shirts from this site. But I returned the entire order. Well, one shirt I didn”t like, because the color was too bright. The other five were pretty cute, but too small. I asked a refund for the first item and an exchange for five other shirts. I filled out the exchange form and shipped everything back. But I never received an email or a call from them about my return. I made about 10 calls to their customer service. And every time I was told they”ll call me back later. Several weeks later I called again and customer service told me they refunded me the whole amount. I was told they completely forgot about the exchange and asked me to reorder. I had purchased items from this site a couple of time. When I made my most recent purchase, my credit card number appeared on its own. I do not normally leave my credit card number on site, but thought maybe I had made a mistake. After completing the purchase, I went to my account page on Woman Within and accessed personal information with the intent of deleting the card number. No credit information was listed on my account page. I called customer support and was told it was not possible that my number would appear if I did not type it in and tell the site to save it. The person did not know why my credit information did not appear on my account page. I obtained a phone number for what the person said was tech support, but what turned out to be the real customer support (I had been talking to a sales person, according to the new person). (I have all the names, but don’t want to publish them because I believe it is the company’s fault if its employees are poorly trained.) The new person also told me that what I was experiencing is impossible. Got the same unhelpful answers and was told that she was not customer service either, that they are closed on Sundays. She said I would need to call tech support. I asked for that number. She said she did not have it, but she did have the customer service number. While providing that, she discovered she did have tech support number. I called tech support Monday and was told it was not possible that my number would pop up unless I typed it in and told the site to save it. Then I asked if that were case, why didn’t my credit information appear on my account page. The reason is because my computer, without my knowing it, has an automatic fill-in feature that fills in that information. Somehow, this software picks up my number from a previous typing and saves and then uses it for my convenience. I said if that were the case then that credit card number would pop up every time I shopped online. I could not believe anyone in a technical support job could be so stupid. This site has a number of sister sites that presumably would also have access to my credit card number. I called the credit card company, but all they could do was to cancel the purchase and/or issue me a new number. I have a Woman Within account last July 2017 I lost my job. I call to set up for the plan I sign up for to help pay in case I lost my job or end up in the hospital. I just found out that it was not done and I was charge late fees to a total of over $200.00. I never get a letter about it but I did get new books so I can order cloths. I have email them but they will not take the flaut for not sending me a letter about it. I was to if I have a problem with making payment they will help me. I have been a Woman Within customer for at least 15 years. But I will give my money to another company from now on. Recently I placed an order, under my long held account, using a relative’s credit card, which had a name and address I had used several times in the past. They sent me a confirmation email, ten days later my relative called to say she received a postcard from Woman Within asking her to call. The customer service rep at Woman Within said my order was sent to Customer Protection to verify the credit card, but they sent a card to my relative, taking 10 days without filling the order, as, “there was no email or valid phone number on file.” When I asked why I received a confirmation email but no email about a delay, the rep first said no email was linked to the order, and later said their job was to protect the card holder and they did not contact the person who placed the order. When I told him the conformation email was addressed to my relative, he stated “this does not happen.” After more discussion, the rep stated no one could order at Woman Within and use a different credit card – regardless of the 15 year account history using the same names and addresses. I have shopped for my relative, using her card and sometimes sending goods to my address, on many sites through the years with no problem. The Customer Protection rep and her supervisor were not apologetic, did not care my order was delayed, and did not seem to care whether I canceled the order or not. I had to ask to make a formal complaint at least 6 times before I was told my complaint about the process would be sent to a customer complaint department. The supervisor kept avoiding my direct question and defending the department’s practice, stating my complaints would be “documented in my account.” Not helpful. Woman Within has been problematic in the past – I suppose this was my wake up call to quit patronizing a business that cares so little for their customers. A heads up email to say there is a delay in my order would somehow be too effortful or breach security? I canceled my 300.00 order. I will shop with a company that wants my business and values my years of patronage.

I was under the impression a business should listen to their customers opinions on the products they purchase. For a petite plus size woman slim pants, scoop necklines and the list goes on don’t work!!! Your models in the catalogs are certainly not plus size which tells me that you don’t care about “us as your consumers!” The same goes for Roamans, Full Beauty, etc. Listen to what the people who want to purchase quality clothing for plus size women. Just because some of us prefer to shop online from your catalogs shouldn’t be a reason to ship us poor quality products. I have my payment come out directly from my checking account and have never been late. My payments are due the 3rd of each month. The 3rd of August fell on a Saturday and my payment was not received until 8/5/19 which caused a late fee. I called the customer service number numerous times and asked for the Corporate Office address and was given 500 S. Mason Hill Dr, El Pso, TX 789112. I checked for this address on line and it doesn’t list for a Corporate Office. I called again trying to get my $28.00 late fee removed and was told you can’t remove a late fee on a closed account. I have ordered from this company several times and each time there has been a problem. You will place and order with them and unlike the other companies, if the item is not available for shipping – they will not tell you. They will say it is in stock when it is not…and you will have to wait weeks for the item to be shipped. I ordered a skirt in a size 18 and they sent me a 20, telling me that an 18 was unavailable.! I recently ordered (2) pairs of jeans in a size 20 – both which they said were in stock. I received one pair with a email telling me the other pair was back ordered and would not ship for another month. When I received the first pair – they were too large so I contacted the customer service department and asked if they could send the back ordered pair in a size 18. They assured me they would – but of course they lied and when I finally got the second pair it was a size 20!!!

I have purchased three sweaters from WomanWithin company and received only two. I called WomanWithin support and told them that one item was missing and it really seemed they wanted to help. They asked several questions about my order and promised I”ll get the missing item within 14 days. Two weeks passed and I contacted them about my sweater and they claimed they shipped it, but there was no sign of it. I decided to wait and gave the some extra time. One week later I called again and received the same reply. It is now over a month and still nothing!

I still receive them, as well as postcards. I called Customer Service three times. Th most recent time, June 22, I was kept on hold for a total of 18 minutes before I was then disconnected. I am a Size 4. I ordered from these catalogs for my mother who has died. It is a waste of paper as well as a reminder of painful times. I paid $8 for normal shipping, but they charged almost $30 for expedited shipping. This meant the return was $30 less than I paid. I sent them an email asking for a refund. They told I ordered the expedited shipping, so there was nothing they could do. This was not my first experience with WomanWithin, and I must say their clothing is very good and has great quality, but they always mess up with the sizes. After purchasing you will get a copy of your order, so please check it few times. If something is wrong, contact them immediately! Also be prepared to receive tons of junk mail from them. Well, their clothing is great, but there is no customer support at all. It”s very difficult to get a refund from them.

I made on order on Sunday and realized the order did not qualify for the free products. There is no where on the web site to cancel an order. I emailed customer service immediately. The next day I called and it took me two hours to get hold of someone. They said that since the order was “in Process” they could not cancel it? Doesn’t make sense to me. If it has not been shipped– it should be able to be canceled. Do not order from these people, they are crooks!

I ordered a sweater that I needed for this Saturday, I ordered it with plenty of time to come in. I checked tracking today it said it was sent back to you because of a wrong address. The order number is [protected]. When I called customer service I was told I would have to re order the item and the only way it would be here by Saturday is if I paid express shipping, why should I pay for a mistake you made. I have ordered before and did not have an issue. You have no problem sending the catalogs to the right address. I am just so disappointed in the attitude of your service representative. I ordered one item on 02/15/18 using a 40% Woman Within coupon, paying $9.99 shipping. Less than 24 hours later, the Woman Within website had a new coupon-40% off plus free shipping. When contacting their customer service chat line I was told no, it was not possible to give me a credit on the shipping I had paid for, even though my order was still in process. It was also not possible to cancel my order. I explained how unhappy I was with these options and would be making my complaint public.

I placed an order for what was an in stock item according to the website on 7/13 and received and email saying is was on back order. When I called then to cancel the order that day since this was for summer and I don’t need it in the winter, I was told that it is in the process of shipping and can’t be canceled. It had only been a day or two. Well, I had ordered the fast shipping to get the item in time. When it didn’t show up within the allotted shipping time I paid for, I called again and was given the tracking number. This number was not even true. There was no tracking number since the package had not been shipped. I called back a couple days later and given a new tracking number. Guess what, this one was bogus as well. Finally, I called back and was told, they don’t know what is wrong and why it still says in process of shipping. I have contacted them 3 more times and told each time, they don’t know and it will ship. As of today, I still don’t have the item and it is showing as notshipped on the order. They have terrible customer service. I will never order from them again. Beware everyone. If I could give a negative star, I would.

I placed an order on August 5. The item was in stock according to the web site. Right after the order was submitted I was informed that it was back ordered and would be shipped on Sept 6. I have called five times since then and have not reached anyone who could tell me why the item was never shipped. Five people including a supervisor claim it is in stock but no one, including the supervisor can determine why it was never shipped. During my last call I was transferred twice and kept on hold for 20 minutes. The supervisor promised to call me back by the next business day. He never called. Customer Service is horrible.

I placed an order on February 10th of $113. This order was very important because it was for my sickly mother who needs the clothes to start physical therapy. I had no issues paying with my card online and it said the transaction was successful. After 2 weeks of the clothes not being shipped out, I called and they told me that the whole order was canceled because my billing and shipping address did not match. I was never notified that my order was apparently canceled on the 14th. If I had not called, I would still be waiting not knowing what was going on. they told me that they mailed me notifying me of the issue but I never received anything. I feel that I should have been called and notified about the cancellation. so that I could have fixed the issue sooner. Now, 3 weeks later I have to reorder again and wait with my mother very unpleased and still waiting to start her therapy.

I returned a Christmas gift right after the holidays and for whatever reason your company didn’t process the return until weeks later. The item was returned and your company refused to give me a credit. When I called to explain that I am a long time customer and asked as a courtesy to help me, I was refused It makes very little business sense to lose a customer over $20 but that is exactly what Rebecca did. I have since cancelled my account with Woman Within and will not buy from there in the future. Hopefully this will not happen to others lest the Amazon’s of the internet will only get bigger and bigger (although their method of starting the refund process as soon as UPS gets the return label is definitely the way to go) Sincerely Deborah Tuminello

I this ad on a website regarding clothing for woman so I decided to give it a try, Big Mistake. I applied for a credit card and was approved, so I ordered a pair of boots. When I received them, one they were too big, cheaply made and not even leather, so I sent them back the same day I received them and sent an email to close my account after reading all the reviews regarding this company. I’ve already been scammed from another company on a website so I’m very angry. Yesterday I received a bill from this company for 19.00 and some change for shipping and handling of this item, which one they never told me I had to pay in the beginning. I am not paying this charge, nor did they follow my email to close my account asap. Unfortunately I don’t have my emails because I deleted them but I have a witness I sent them. I believe it was in March this all took place. Please help me resolve this issue, thank you

I tried to make a purchase on Labor Day when they were having a 50% off sale. For some reason, the subtotal had the correct 50% off subtotal but the total line did not. My total was $160.38 + 15.99 for S&H and then the grand total was $336.87. I went on my phone trying to figure out why it kept doing this, thinking it was my computer. But it did the same thing on each device. I took a snip-it of the subtotal/total box. I emailed late Monday evening because I could not call. I did not get the email until after 11 p.m. on Tuesday. I shop late in the evening because during the day I have an autistic 21 y.o. and 70 y.o. (who also has diabetes, ) plus a mother with cancer and diabetes that I care for. I have my own health concerns as well. My days are hectic. Yesterday I had 5 different doctor appointments, for four different people, plus I had to meet with an advisor at my son”s college. Then food and laundry had to be taken care of. Today I had an hour in the morning to myself. I spent half of it on the phone with your c/s. I spent another hour writing this because I couldn”t get it all in under 30 minutes and I had to stop and help my son, then come back, then go help my son, and come back and so on. (For the record, I already got one dr. appointment in this morning. Would you like his phone number?) I called the first chance I got on Wednesday morning. First I was on hold several times by the rep. Then she came back and asked me if I had screen prints of the shopping cart. I said no, but I did take one of the subtotal/total and I asked if I could email it to her. She said yeah and put me on hold immediately without my having a chance to get one syllable out of my mouth. After 10 minutes of being on hold I was told because I did not call yesterday (Tuesday) there was nothing they could do for me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being on hold for a while I got to speak with Liliana. She said the same thing. So let me get this straight, first, WW tried to blame me because I had no proof. Oops, fail, I did have proof. So then it was because I didn”t call in time? They are perfectly able to fix this and that supervisor knew it. She just didn”t want to. I don”t take kindly to being played. Last year I had nearly the exact same problem only I called as soon as I got the email and was told that I should have called not emailed. I had told them that I couldn”t call the day before because it was after hours, but nope. My fault. I called the next day, which was the wrong day. My bad. Now I just went back into my cart to take another screen print of what I had in there and the WW c/s rep added a pair of shorts. I know that I did not add them because I would NEVER wear something so short!!! I am livid. I just know that they subtotal was $160.38 and the total with shipping should have been $176.37. The resolution I am seeking is that I want the products at the prices they should have been available to me when I tried to purchase them. (IF the system had been functioning properly.) If WW is truly unable to give me the discount then the next possible resolution would be for me to never shop from them again. In that case, I want all catalogs to cease. I do NOT deserve to be treated this way. I just want to note that previous to having difficulties with this company I shopped there all the time through the former umbrella of OneStopPlus. I bought clothes for my mother and my son on that site. Well over a $1, 000 a year. Then I started having problems. More and more often. So I stopped. And I was happier.
