I have been playing fantasy football for over 10 years and have played it on all the major leagues. I have played it on ESPN, CBS sports and NFL fantasy league too. But I do have a lot of trouble with Yahoo Fantasy Football. The trouble is not with the UI. Oh no. It is in fact one of the best compared to other sites. And private fantasy leagues also start at a much cheaper price. That’s what you like when play fantasy football leagues seriously. I have been playing with guys who have been playing these leagues for over 10 years and they know their stuff. We deal with the drafts and private league rules quite seriously. I am myself a commissioner for a private league and it’s all going well. But then the problem is how it is more suitable for beginners. After a certain point, there is no advantage that experience brings you because the rules and the features restrict you. We have been trying to add certain features that can give a better professional feel to the league and experience. A draft window or a trade window where we can have a list of players we have in watch out list to buy or to trade. This makes it easier for the commissioner to ensure fair trading and also for the players to manage their trades in a better way. There is a lot of scope in making it more suitable for professionals too by adding or allowing complete customisation of the league with minimal presets. I still say it is a good league for beginners, but as you get more and more experience, it starts lagging behind in terms of offering. Also, the experts are ranked slightly lower and while you can initially overlook it, it can matter sometimes.
