I began trying to get a replacement LED bulb for a light fixture in early Jan 2019. I was told it was actually under warranty and they would request a replacement from the manufacturer of the fixture. 3 weeks passed with no update so I once again called customer service. Again was told they would request a replacement. It is now 6 weeks since initial call and I have called several times and spoke with a customer service supervisor who then emailed me that a replacement fixture would be sent. 9 days since then and they are still telling me manufacturer has not even put in the order. They always promise to follow up, call back etc. no response to my email and no follow up calls or emails. I end up calling them and hear the same BS. I will be filing complaint soon with better business bureau and writing a letter to their corporate office. I have dates and names of all customer service people I’ve dealt with. Super nice on phone but never any results. Very very disappointed in their service and attention to follow up any problem.

I bought a $3, 000 flush mount ceiling lamp. For starters, the lamp came slightly damaged, which wasn’t their fault. They offered me 10% off to keep, which I accepted. However, once I had the electrician installed it, the dimmer didn’t work. I called them and they were nice in the beginning trying to help me troubleshoot the issue. During this time, I had the electrician come out three times doing what they told me to do, but in the end, the electrician told me that this is a commercial light and uses 5 wires, while residential homes use 3 wires. So, when I called them to tell them this, they first said, I took the 10% off and accepted it. I had to remind them that was for the damage. After I overcame that, next they said it has been too long since I ordered the light, but then I told them that I have been in constant contact with them about this and I had to schedule the electrician three times to come out which takes time as well. In the end, they basically said that they sell residential and commercial lights and that I should have called them before ordering to confirm. The bottom line, this company will absolutely do anything to not refund you.

Although slow in providing it, I did eventually receive authorization to return the item, at my expense. Since I bought two fixtures to coordinate I decided to return the second also so requested second authorization number to return it. I ordered four lighting fixtures from YLighting. Only one was in the box. Our contractor didn’t open it until after the official deadline to report missing or damaged items, but he photographed the packaging and it was obvious that four lights couldn’t possibly fit, even thought the packing label said they were all included. They were worth almost $1, 000. I called and e-mailed repeatedly for several weeks. Zero response. I understand that we had no legal recourse since technically we were past the deadline, but we’re good customers who have bought things from them for years. I wouldn’t be so mad if they’d had the minimal courtesy to call me back. I will never buy anything from them again.

Since I was speaking to the person who was going to get back to me, he knew that I did not cancel the order nor did I receive an email telling me that it had been cancelled. I stayed on the line while he investigated the cause and reported back that that particular light fixture had been discontinued. I had to request the email stating that the order was cancelled and that I would be issued a refund ( and that I would have to wait 5-7 business days to receive it!) Well the time has passed and no refund. I called Paypal and they reported that a refund had not been initiated. Just got off the phone with Y lighting. Again, the department that handles refunds is gone for the day. All they say is sorry – in a robotic fashion – and continue to do nothing while they hold on to my money. I have opened a dispute viaPaypal and will eventually be reimbursed, but would advise consumers to avoid this unscrupulous company.
